~ Planet Iredescent ~
________________
Two months passed since Mara moved to Iredescent. As promised, Mara visited her family for one week every month, providing Killian with weekly hologram and comect calls.
The Ruler of Iredescent and the Crimson Phoenix had returned to planet Iredescent from an important mission on planet Earth, but the Iredescent private detective hadn't had the chance to see them since then.
Consequently, Mara spent a lot of time with Raistin, who was happy to see her again. When Raistin asked about Killian, he was pleased to learn he was doing much better than in prior circumstances. He even personally mailed a letter with his Phoenix insignia, declaring Killian was pardoned of crime and he was no longer an Iredescent criminal. Though Killian thanked him for the pardon, he refused to return to planet Iredescent under any circumstance.
He will when Mara marries Crimson, Raistin thought, having seen the interest between his grandson and Killian's daughter, though he feared a complication that arose upon the completion of the important mission.
Raistin searched for an opportune time for Mara to reunite with Crimson. The time didn't come until Raistin informed Mara that Crimson and Tren were at the Eykrie Durech, a popular restaurant they often liked to go to.
Mara chose to wear Crimson's cloak that night. Lights flashed, reminding Mara of her flashlight.
Spotlights danced on her skin as Mara stepped into the Eykrie Durech, warming her with heat that indicated they were on for some time.
It wasn't hard to find Crimson and Tren since they were so noticeable. Mara noticed Tren looked more like the Ruler of Iredescent and less like a carefree, poorly-dressed chingabang from Sweatpants Land.
His fashion designer cousin must've convinced him to wear good clothes. Either that, or the Glitterati apprehended him, Mara thought, recalling Crimson's creation of the Iredescent AI fashion police.
Light fell upon Mara the moment her eyes met Crimson's. She saw the delighted surprise appear in his eyes like light flashes, but instead of bouncing off, they remained brightly lit, keeping Mara in sight.
Pleased to have finally found Crimson, inspired by Raistin's cheerful influence, Mara smiled happily and exclaimed, "Crimson! Is that really you?"
What kind of question is that? Of course that is really him, Mara inwardly scolded herself. Why do I find myself saying the most random things when I'm around someone I like? Get a hold of yourself, Mara. Ugh, this romance stuff....why must it be so complicated?
Nevertheless, extravagant joy lavished within her heart at the sight of Crimson. Crimson rushed over to Mara, seizing her in an enthusiastic embrace. Could it be that he....loves me? Mara wondered, hoping that was what she saw in his eyes.
Crimson continued gazing into Mara's eyes, increasing the joy bursting forth from her delightful smile. It wasn't usual for him to look at her this way, or to even touch her. Mara remained in Crimson's arms, not wanting to be the one to break away.
Without warning, Crimson kissed Mara.
It was unlike any other kiss. Crimson's kiss was passionate, electrifying, the kind that felt would shake the cosmos.
And Mara wanted more.
The kiss came to a halt when a man's hand rested on Crimson's shoulder and a familiar voice said, "Hey, what's going on? I didn't know you two were together."
