This is not an epilogue. An epilogue indicates certain events following the conclusion of a story.

This is not a conclusion.

This is the start of a new happily ever after.

A wonderful, sparkly happily ever after.

And it began when Irina entered the Real world.

Irina watched the Decuir family disappear through the portal, vanishing as they entered the Real world. Soon after, Mara left Chatt-ruin.

Sadness emerged at the sight of dead butterflies, realizing an exchange had been made for Ireyna's immortality and power. It went somewhere, but where?

The answer appeared in a whirlwind of glowing blue butterflies, navy blue glitter, and periwinkle stardust. Irina tensed, thinking it was Iren. However, the figure that emerged from the whirlwind was much taller than Iren, and he bore a smirk that was very unlike Iren.

It was Casmiel Doronai, Casim Dorono's alterself.

"Hello, fellow space traveler. I've just been gifted an unusual power, including immortality. Are you the bestower of such fine, remarkable gifts?"

"I certainly am not," Irina said, disliking that this man thought immortality was a 'gift'. "Who are you and where are you from?"

"Such inquirious questions. You must be Irina. I had a run-in with your male alterself."

As Irina stared at him in astonishment, Casmiel walked towards the dead butterflies on the glow-in-the-dark cobalt grass. Purple power emerged, and the butterflies became ash, disappearing into shimmers of dust. The surviving butterflies landed on Casmiel's shoulders with lowered wings. Irina recognized Ireyna's power, realizing it was contained within Casim's alterself rather than Ireyna's alterself.

"Where is Iriana?" Irina inquired, hoping she was safe, unaware that Iriana and Iren had become the galaxy's Bonnie and Clyde.

"In the arms of her charming boyfriend," Casmiel informed, a shade of bitterness lacing his casual tone. "None other than your villainous alterself seeking to kill you and other alterselves."

Irina's eyes widened in shock. "What?! Iriana and Iren are together? They're not enemies? Iren didn't kill Iriana? He probably manipulated her...."

"I believe the name is Kiren. The fact remains, one that is undeniable. Together, they are an unstoppable force. Alas, I must find my own alterself. May the stars shine bright for you, Iredescent."

As Casmiel turned to leave, Irina said, "Wait! Lend me some of Ireyna's power. I'll need it to retrieve her from Real."

Casmiel gave Irina a hard, lingering stare. When he spoke, his voice was gravely serious. "My dear woman, you hold power greater than the one I bear."

With that, Casmiel materialized a space vessel for himself and left planet Chatt-ruin in search of Casim.

The space vessel was a metallic periwinkle hibernation pod, large enough for just one person. It contained enough oxygen for temporary space travel. The butterflies directed the space vessel from within, sending Casmiel towards Monshalow, where he would break Casim out of prison, freeing his alterself from the Fairy Queen's dungeon.
