~ Planet Iredescent ~
A year later
________________
After a year of no contact with Crimson, Mara sent a comect message to Crimson.
Crimson, this is Mara. I returned to Iredescent. Let me know when would be a good time to talk to you.
How about right now? was Crimson's almost-immediate response.
From inside her room at Mirror Castle, Mara looked in surprise at Crimson's quick reply. She didn't expect him to respond so soon.
Mara glanced at the mirror. Her reflection was outfitted in a sparkly pink hoodie and slim-fit navy blue leggings. Feeling underdressed, but not wanting to miss out on seeing Crimson, Mara hastily typed, Right now would be great. After a moment's thought, Mara added, Meet me in my room?
You're here at Mirror Castle? Crimson responded, indicating his astonishment at how close Mara was in proximity to him. Not just the same planet, but the same building.
Crimson was silhouetted in the dark night as he remained seated on a divan, not far from the sleeping princess. Moonlight poured through the thin light purple curtains, illuminating the sparkles on Iressa's diamond skin and the glimmer of Crimson's shimmery red wings. The glimmer flickered when Crimson rose from the divan, glancing once at Iressa, before leaving the room. Moonlight remained on Iressa, the sparkles darkening upon Crimson's absence.
Mara hadn't contacted Crimson during his one year with Iressa, having broken off their relationship so Crimson could focus on Iressa since he had a son with her. The one year was almost over, and Mara realized she would soon reunite with Crimson, Iressa, and Tren.
In addition, Mara would meet Pitch Leeiyor, the son of Crimson and Iressa.
Raistin told Mara that Crimson's son was half Phoenix half Iredescent. So now, there were four Phoenixes: Raistin Fenice, Iro Fenice, Crimson Leeiyor, and Pitch Leeiyor.
Iressa wanted Crimson to name his child, so Crimson named him after the pitch black night during which he was born, as a reminder of joy and light even in the midst of darkness.
After Mara told Raistin about the destiny radar result, Raistin insisted Mara should return to Iredescent to tell Crimson. Mara agreed, deciding to wait until near the end of the one year before doing so.
And now, she would tell Crimson the important news.
Mara quickly ran a brush through her hair. She looked in the mirror, wishing she could change into a nice dress. She used her shapeshifting ability to materialize a red dress and heels on herself, though the illusion glamour would fade after a few hours.
Just then Mara heard Crimson's footsteps outside her door. Mara froze, wondering if he could hear her heart beating so fast; it seemed so loud. Mara set her comect on the dresser and moved to the door, her heart skipping at the sight of darkness blocking some of the moonlight underneath her door. Her heart picked up pace at the prospect of finally seeing Crimson.
Mara opened the door, feeling heat rise in her chest at the sight of Crimson. Heat filled her entirely as she took in the familiar figure clad in stylish black clothes, his longish black hair and bangs framing his face in an attractive way. His red earring glinted in the moonlight, reflecting the sparkle within the soft look in his eyes.
