Casim was thankful for the black prison uniform. The reddish pink glitter woven in the linen material reminded him of Mara, the Incandescent Iredescent that arrested the Glittered Inktraitor, placing him in the Fairy Queen's dungeon.

Some dungeon, Casim thought audaciously as he inspected his prison cell. More like a resort.

Casim was the lone prisoner. Most crime happened in the city; very rarely was there a serious crime.

Metallic bars clashed with light pink walls and obsidian black floor, matching the ceiling. There was a simple bed with black bedsheets and a pink-themed bathroom with a shower, but no window.

The unicorn patrol pranced down the hallway, their glossy manes neatly brushed and adorned with white ribbons. Arrogant pricks, Casim thought, sighing as he ignored the prancing patrol and settled in for the night. So much for my glittered scheme. At least I'm alone and I can get a good night's sleep. It would've been horrible misery if I had a cellmate.

However, he did not get a full good night's sleep.

Glowing blue light appeared, rousing Casim from sleep. He sat up and squinted at the light, shading his eyes with a hand.

A tall man emerged from amid a whirlwind of glowing blue butterflies. A wind spear smashed the prison wall, startling Casim. What in the stars?

Dark navy blue boots stepped forward from underneath a dark navy blue trench coat. Casim's eyes widened in surprise as the tall man stood with his back straight, never bent nor slouched, his head held high as though a crown graced his head. His dark blond hair was short and neatly cut, contrasting Casim's hair color of sun-bleached hay.

"Hello, me," the tall man spoke, smirking at Casim. "How astonishing to find the alternate me in prison. Such an unpleasant arrangement, is it not? You shall have to tell me how that happened. I imagine it was a woman that placed you in prison."

How very intuitive, Casim thought as he smirked back, delighted with the strange turn of events.

"How very interesting. It appears Ireyna brought the alternate me instead of her alternate self. That means Ireyna successfully completed her endeavor."

The alternate Casim frowned in confusion. "You weren't there at her endeavor?"

"Her stepdaughter arrested me before I had the opportunity." A trace of bitterness laced Casim's voice.

"A greatly missed opportunity," the alternate Casim said in sentiment. "However, I am pleased with the outcome, because it allowed me to come to your world."

"What happened to Ireyna? The immortal fairy," Casim asked, wanting clarification.

"The immortal fairy became a mortal human trapped in the world called Real. She lost her memories of the Iredescent world. She remains in Real, without any knowledge of her Iredescent life. Her power and immortality were transferred to an alternate Glittered Inktraitor instead of an alternate Ireyna, because of the glowing blue Chatt-ruinian butterflies that enabled the transfer."

"That's even better. This worked to our advantage." Despite happiness, Casim felt sympathetic for how things turned out for Ireyna.

At least she got what she wanted: to be mortal with her husband, Casim thought of the silver lining. But at the cost of forgetting her life in this world, in this dimension. She probably isn't even aware....
