"Hiya ma'am what can I do for y-. Remus?" Euphemia heard her son say.

"James, who is it?" She said as she arrives at the door. "Officer? Hello, is there anything I can do for you?"

"Hi, you must be Mrs Potter. Young Remus here has been telling me all about his school and Friends. A boarding school in Scotland for the 'troubled'. It's a bit far away."

Euphemia was exasperated, thinking this young child she knew she had to take in almost revealed their world. Breaking the Statute of Secrecy... before the last sentence of the Officer infront of her calmed her mind.

"Yes, that's correct. It is far away but it's one of the best schools around. Many successful people have come out of it. Including my husband and I. And James has been telling me all about Remus and their other friends as well."

"I'll take your word for it." She seemed unbelieving. "Remus' mother has been in an accident and we're sure she'll be fine but for tonight Remus needs a place to stay before the school term starts tomorrow. He thought here would be a reasonable place. You live quite close to King's Cross, where the train leaves from, I see."

"Yes. And of course I'll take Remus for the night. I assume Remus has all of his belongings?"

The police officer nodded. She scoped out the house rather quickly and left for the night. Fleamont had taken it upon himself to cook dinner whilst Euphemia accommodated the Officer. He made mac and cheese for everyone, as it was one of the few things he could actually cook. Master potioneer and still can't cook a simple dinner.

"Thanks for the food, Mr Potter. I love mac n cheese!"

"Well, the pasta is a little burnt dad, but I can tell you've been working really hard on your cooking skills so I'm proud of you!" James smiled at his dad

"Yes yes, thank you for criticism Mr chef extraordinaire." Everyone laughed. Even Remus although he was exhausted and worried. He wanted to visit his mother, make sure she was alright. He knew she wasn't anyway. She was probably going through surgery to remove the glass from her skin. The thought dampened his evening.

After everyone finished their food Remus knew he needed sleep, apart from it being the last thing he wanted to do.
On top of his parents and their... situation, the full moon had been barely a week before and his nightmares were still at their most intense levels of fear. Which was truly amazing.

"If it's alright, I'd like to go to bed please Mrs Potter?" He asked innocently. He glanced around at his company, shrinking into his chair.

"Of course you can Remus. James, why don't you show him your room whilst I set up his."

"Yep!" He answered, enthusiastic as ever. "Follow me." And Remus did. They walked up the stairs and all the way down a couple different hallways until you got to James' room; which you could tell by the Gryffindor scarf on a hook and his initials 'J.F.P.'. The inside was worse. Photos of him as a child and so. much. red and gold. There were posters of his favourite National quidditch team that Remus wouldn't even try to guess at.

"So this is my room... Um, the bathroom is through that door." He pointed "And your room will probably be through... wherever my mum takes you." He smiled.

"Thanks."

"No problemo!"

Remus sat on the bed, taking in James' room one last time before asking "Why so much red? I mean, I know we're in Gryffindor and all, but," His voice wavered, doubting wether he should have asked the question or not.

"It's been my favourite colour, along with pink. All shades of red basically but I went to muggle primary school since my parents wanted me to and got called weird for liking pink so I just changed everything to red when my muggle friends came over. One day I just left it red and haven't changed it since. I haven't seen those guys in a while though, so I can probably bring the pink decor back. Lord forbid my mother throw it out," He recalled.

"Oh, I'm sorry James," Remus sympathised.

"What do ya mean, Rem?" James tilted his head to the side. Oh my God, this poor boy. Remus thought.

"Nothing, James. Don't worry about it."

They chatted for a few more minutes before Eiffie ducked her head into the room.

"Remus, your room is set up." She spoke softly.

"Cya tomorrow James." He left after hearing a response.
