"Dad!" A little girl ran into Hiccup's arms. He was so happy to be back home. All these chief duties were so stressful.
"Hey, sweetheart." He kissed her forhead, still holding her in his arms. She was only three, but she could walk and talk.
"Hey, honey. How are you feeling?" Hiccup asked his wife who was sitting on the couch. She was eight months pregnant.
"Fine. I guess."
"How's the little one?"
"Kicking." Hiccup chuckled. His little daughter was in his arms, his second child was about to come to the world in about one month and he had a wonderful wife.
"Arina, sweetie, would you please go in your room? I have to talk with your father." She asked her daughter.
"Sure, Mom!" Arina did what her Mom told her.
"Astrid? What's wrong?" Astrid took her husband's face in her hands and smiled sad at him.
"Hiccup. I want you to let go of me and go on. Please, do it. For me. I'm no longer with you. This is just a hallucination. I died three days ago. Arina never existed. Please, Hiccup. Wake up and don't think about me. I don't want you to be sad and alone. You deserve better. I love you so, so much." She kissed him one last time and disappeared forever.Hiccup woke up. He was in his hut. He felt a little head on his chest. He looked closely. It was Mila. She couldn't sleep well since her sister died, so Hiccup took her to him.
"Hiccup?" Mila asked him one day.
"Yeah?"
"I miss her..." And she began to cry. Hiccup hugged her.
"I know. I miss her, too."
He couldn't believe he really lost her.
