time for goodbyes
kira looked at the house she grew up in knowing this would be the last time she saw it for a while. her car was packed and she was headed on a road trip across the country for school, one last adventure before college. with a sad sigh she took off her cap and gown and walked into the house so her parents could pack it away with erics. " do you have enough money?" her dad asked as she walked in the door
"i think so." kira said
"well heres a couple extra bucks just in case and hey if you dont use it you have money for fabric." her dad said as he handed her a small stack of tens and twenties
"thanks dad." she said as she grabbed the money and walked over to her book bag with her wallet in and stuck the money inside. kira folded her gown and placed it next to her bag with her cap on top and walked back into the kitchen. "i think im gonna go say goodbye to people and get on the road." kira said
" okay sweetie." her dad said. her parents got up and hugged her with kira in the middle they gave her a good squeeze. " let us know each state you're in and take lots of pictures and try and get post cards they'll be good for your scrap book." her mom said as she stroked kiras hair. kira nodded as she gave her parents a sad smile and walked over to her bag, she grabbed it and walked out the door. kira climbed into her car and drove to the first stop on her goodbye train the cullens. since their house isnt on her way out of town she was seeing them first. when she pulled up the cullens they were outside waiting for her mae had tears in her eyes. when kira got out of the car mae ran to her " dont forget about me when you leave." she cried into her aunts shoulder
" i wont mae im going to be sending you clothes from my lines and coming to see you and you're gonna come see me in the city. and im gonna take you to fashion week." kira said as she stroked mae's hair like her mother did to her.
"promise?" mae asked in a small voice
" yes i promise your gonna see and hear from me so much your gonna be sick of me."kira said with a small laugh
"ill never be sick of you."mae said as she hugged kira a little harder. "ill call you when i get settled and show you my room."kira said as she let go of mae and went to get in her car and headed for new york.
