Clarissa's POV

Bouquet

"Good thing, you're home already," bungad ni Mommy pagkapasok na pagkapasok ko sa bahay.

My brows furrowed at her OA remarks. Ni hindi man lang ako binigyan ng oras makapasok sa kwarto at makapagbihis. Talagang sinalubong ako sa hamba ng pintuan.

"I've been calling you for how many times, but you did not answer. Where have you been? Bakit naunang umuwi si Atherelle?"

I obtained my phone in my pocket. Ang dami nga niyang missed calls at texts. Naka-silent kasi ito kaya hindi ko napansin kanina habang nag-uusap kami ni Lyle.

"I've been with a friend. May importante lang pinag-uusapan. Why po?"

"Proceed to your room muna, and change clothes first before I'll discuss something. Malagkit ka na."

What?

Me malagkit?

My mouth hangs open at what my Mom said. Kaagad kong sinimot ang sarili. I can confidently state that I still feel refreshed; I'm still mabango pa naman. Why is my Mom so maarte and OA?

I headed to my room to change clothes before heading to Mommy's office. Nag-sanitizer pa ako at nagpabango para wala nang masabi 'yong nanay kong maarte.

"So, bakit nga po?" I asked when I took a seat across from her.

"There's a seminar in Camiguin, and I can't come. I will visit the firm in Batanggas, and your brother is busy with their upcoming game, kaya..." She looks at me with pleaded eyes.

"Ako ang pupunta," I declared... nahiya pa siya, e.

"If your schedule is not occupied, I'd appreciate it if you could be there on behalf of your father and me. But if you have a lot of things to do, I would understand. Ilang days din kasi 'yon."

"Okay lang po. There's Zedi naman whom I can trust with the resort. Ibibilin ko muna sa kaniya while I'm away."

"Okay okay. I'm glad to hear that. Kaya ako nagmamadaling sabihin sa 'yo para makapaghanda ka na ng mga gamit mo. I have booked a flight already kasi I really thought I could go, pero hindi kinaya."

"It's okay po. I gotchu," I winked that made her smile.

It's Camiguin; that place has radiant beaches, and it's a pleasure to get to visit there. Kahit ang main purpose naman talaga ng pagpunta ko roon ay trabaho-that also serves as a gala na rin.

I began packing my things for tomorrow, and then went to bed early in anticipation of the early flight. Kinabukasan ay hinatid ako ni Kuya sa airport. I'm feeling drowsy since it's still quite early. Kaya sa byahe ay tulog na tulog ako.

The trip took several hours, and it's fortunate that everything is already settled-from a Grab ride taking me to the hotel-to the suite Mommy reserved for me.

Upon entering the hotel room, the first thing I did was to open the glass door leading to the veranda. What greeted me was the radiant sight; the highway that was surrounded by coconut trees, and then the coastline with a pure white sand.

What a sight! I could stay here my entire life.

As much as I wanted to stay here longer, I still needed to prepare for the later's seminar. I didn't make it to the morning opening as I arrived close to noon.

Bumalik na ako sa loob para ilabas ang mga gamit na nasa luggage. I haven't organized my things yet since I'm running out of time. I just dressed in a formal fit before putting a light make up on. Iyon lang at lumabas na ako ng suit.
