You and Me

Chapter 15

Slowly Vera peeled her eyes open, it took her a few tried with the strong wind hitting her face but she eventually manged. The ride far smoother now that vermax was no longer ascending and just cruising around in the sky. 

It felt absolutely wonderful, like there was no one here, she was no one here, just up in the air where nothing mattered, it felt freeing to her in some sort of way. This was something that she couldn't even put into words. Flying on a dragon is thrilling but at the same time calming which made no sence yet here she was feeling it.She looked down to see absolutely nothing but clouds, it was magical, and far better then standing infront of the ships. A small chuckle left her lips as she got more comfortable.

"I told you" Jace yelled from behind her.

"Jace this is amazing" She squeled in her seat. "I never wanna go back down" now that remark really made him laugh, she could feel his chest rumble against her back. 

The couple spent a good few hours in the air silently enjoying their moments of peace. Sadly, like all other good things that come to an end, so did their little ride.Now it was time to get real. The feast. By now the staff of the castle were bustling around try to get everyhting ready in time whilst Vera and Jace got themsleves looking presentable. They Vera wore a red and black dress to show her new family colours whilst Jace worse more dark purple coloured clothes to represent Vera's house and show their union and support for eachother to the world.

The fest was held in Dragon stone in there garden. There were beutiful decorations and men who voulenttered to spar as entertainment. Tabled were set up and the best cutlery was placed infornt of every seat. Both Jace and Vera settled down in their seats that were atop a small stage in front of the fighting arena, and decorated for my extravagantly then the other to show their status.

"This is going to be great" Jace reassured as they were settling down.

"Well lets pray it does or you will spend the rest of your life listening to me wallow over it" Vera sarcastically replied, a small smile lit his face up at the joke.

The gate were opened and guest that were not only from dragon stone but driftmark aswell and other nearing cities began to rush in. The music was loud and lively and chattering took up the garden, people began to meet ol friends and make new ones. Jace and Vera plastered bright welcoming smiles on their face to every guest that came to thank them and congratulate them on their union. Jace was right everying was going very well. Soon the guests settled down and It was finally time for the torunaments and feasting. Jace stood up from his seat making everyone go silent and give their undivided attention to him.

"It gladens to see such joy that you people have to come to aid us helping dragon stone. The crown thanks you greatly for your genoroisty. So may we raise our cups to my dear wife Veralee who has worked day and night to throw us such a grand feast for you all and may the feast commence." Jace raised his glass, and everyone followed. Once Jace sat back down the torunaments began and the food began to pile up on tables as people ate and enjoyed.

Each time a man won vera would get up to hand them a token of victory, and each time the men would blush and stutter over their words. Veralee was so glad they wore full body suits so even if they were hurt or bleeding she wouldn't have to see and could just enjoy her evening in peace.

"I told you it would be great" Jacaerys reminded her after the tournament was over and the both could finally eat.

"Thank you" Vera smiled him "For believing in me"

"What's there not to be believe" he flirted which caused Vera's face to turn red, but he pretended to not notice so she wouldn't shy away.

"This is a lot more fun then I use to rememer" Vera commented as she drank more wine.
