Chapter 21

"Come on guys" Leah says annoyed at the fact me and Fern were taking ages to finish packing. "Le chill out, we need to leave in an hour" I say
"Seriously?" She says
"I know you like to be early but security won't even be open if we go now" I say with a slight chuckle
After 20 minutes we finish packing. Leah goes downstairs to check out. "Have the ring?" I ask Fern
"Yeah, it's in the suitcase" she says
"Good" I say. We join Leah downstairs and head into a taxi to France airport.
"Come on" Leah complains because we were taking to long to get out the taxi.
"Oh give over Leah, it took us 2 more seconds than you" I say
We go in. "See security is not open for the flight yet" I say, laughing at the fact she huffed.
"Well at least we are early" she says
After another half an hour we finally get through security and just wait to board the flight, Fern dragged us round every shop possible.

We finally board the flight and eventually land in Italy.

"Wow, it's so hot" I say as we leave the plane. "A lot hotter than Paris" Leah chuckles
We get our suitcases and get to the hotel.

"Can we go exploring?" Fern ask
"Yeah but be back before 3" I say
"Okay" they both say
I start to unpack as well as Leah. I phone my brother "hey ad" I say
"Hey Tess? How's Italy?" He asks
"Well we just landed, but it's boiling. How's the great English weather?" I ask
"It's been quite hot for a while, but it's just started to rain" he says
"How's Faye?" I ask
"Good, she's just gone to a hospital appointment" he says
"Oh yeah, congrats by the way. I couldn't really say much in the final, you know with you only telling me" I say
"Yeah, we are so excited for them to arrive. We just want to know the gender now" he says. Leah gets in the FaceTime.
"Hey Leah" he says
"Hey Adam, congrats" she says
"Thank you. I mean although Faye's pregnant she's still certain that we have to look at wedding venues. I mean it's been nearly a year since we got engaged and we've travelled up and down the country and still not found somewhere" he rants
"There's a cute little place, near dads you know" I say
"Oh yeah" he says
"Yeah. It's like a little church but it's got grass which you can walk down the aisle on, flowers hanging everywhere like Faye said. And her bridesmaids could wear champagne dresses it would totally match in with the venue. Hey, when I get home I'll take yous" I say
"Why have I never thought of that?" He asks
"I don't know, but for the party afterwards you could go to that venue just off the main road, you know it's fancy and the park surrounds it with the lakes that the swans are constantly swimming on. That's so cute" I say
"Aww, that's so perfect. Leah your in for a good wedding planner when yous get married" he says
"Yeah I know right. Can't wait to see how bossy she is with where it is" Leah says
"Don't worry it's all planned out" I say
The shock on Leah's face says it all. "I'm joking le" I say
Adam laughs as well as me.
"So like are you going to be doing anything exciting today then?" He asks
"Probs just discover the city a bit" I say
"I mean ferns already out with Grace doing that" Leah says
"Oh the city of love. How cute" Adam says
"Anyway. Ad we've got to go, see you later" I say
"Yeah you too. Have a great time!" He says
"Bye" We both say

We explore the city and meet fern and Grace at a restaurant.

We finish up and then head back to the hotel and sleep.

The next day. Today, the 20th august.

I wake up, but Leah wasn't beside me, her phone was gone as well. I message her.

Leah x

Hey le? Where are you? Xx

Oh erm, sorry I had to leave this morning,
My friend came to Italy do just met up with her x

Leah it's 7 in the morning!
Leah?
Hello?

I start to worry but try not to think too much into it, until I see on Grace Carters instagram a picture of Grace with all of her friends in the airport, with Leah in the background kissing another girl. I zoom in, to make sure. I break into tears, Fern comes in. She hugs me "what's up" she asks
I show her the picture, "are you 100% sure that's Leah?" She asks
"It's literally my hoodie ferny, she cheated" I say
"I'm sorry to cut your holiday short Fern, but I think we've got to head back. I need to see Adam, I'm sorry" I say
"No no it's fine, we've been to Paris and spent 2 days here, it's okay, there's always next year right" she says hugging tighter.
I cry in ferns arms and the door swings open, Leah wearing the exact outfit. "Are you insane!" Fern shouts at her. "Fern don't" I say
"No! She shouldn't get away with this!" Fern says pushing her slightly as she leaves.
"How could you Leah?" I ask slightly above a whisper
"It was-" she says
"Just own it Leah. Was it you in this photo?" I ask and show her it.
"Yeah" she whispers
My head drops, the reality kicks in. "Then me and you are done" I say
"I- I'm going to catch a flight back to the Uk. With fern and grace" I say
"No wait. We can fix this" Leah says
"I- I don't think we can Leah" I say and get from the bed starting to pack everything
"I'll stay at Beth's for a bit, you keep Dix" I say crying even harder having to say goodbye to my dog.
"No. Please" she says starting to cry. "No" I say and get my suitcase about to walk out. "Oh and here" I say and slam the box down on the bed.
"We are done" I say and leave.
I go into ferns room and we look for flights, well more likely fern and Grace since I could no longer see anything from crying.
