Chapter 7

It was 12 and I got a call of mr Davidson saying Fern wanted to stay in school, which was pretty unusual.Fern would jump at the chance to leave school. So what was keeping her there? I was trying to work it out but I get distracted when Leah sits next to me and puts a coffee infront of me "hey" she says
"Hi" I say
"So, ferns staying at school?" Leah says
"Yeah, it's so weird. She would never want to stay" I say
"Maybe she's realised how important her education is" Leah says. I laugh and say "you do know who we are talking about right, my little sister fern"
Beth sits next to Leah alongside Viv. "Hey" they both say
"Hi" Leah says
"Earth to Tessa?" Viv says
I stand up and walk to go to the bathroom. When I come back in I see I had a missed call from the school. "The schools called" I say
I call them "hello what's up?" I ask
"Hi, is this Tessa Walter?" They asks
"Yes it is" I say
"Your sister fern is in detention tonight, so can you pick her up at 4:15" she says
"What has she done now?" I say and roll my eyes
"Apparently she was swearing towards her maths teacher, she had her phone out in history and she won't be alone. She's got one of her friends in there with her. Someone called Grace Jenkins" she says
"Alright thank you. I'm so sorry she's behaved that way" I say
The call ends. "She's in detention" I say
"What did she do?" Beth asks
"Swearing, and getting her phone out" I say
"The kids in trouble?" Katie says sitting down
"Your a bad influence you" I say
"I've barely met her or talked to her and when we have we've only discussed how to prank you" she says with a slight smirk
"Ha, ha ha" I say sarcastically
My dad messages me

Hey Tess, de and Adam are heading down London today
They were hoping they could stay with you. If not they
Can find a premier in xx

Yeah they can stay with us, how come they are coming?

Well Delilah is going through a rough patch with Harry
And Adam is coming down looking for a venue for his
And Faye's wedding, they can't decide on a place
Up north x

Alright, we'll tell them I'll see them soon x

"Well Leah, we have two guests with us for the night" I say
"Oh yeah who?" She asks taking a mouthful of her dinner
"My sister and brother. Delilah and Adam. Bloody family reunion" I say
"Is Delilah's kids coming?" She asks
"Nah, they are staying with Harry. Apparently she's having a rough patch with him and Adam is coming because he needs to find a venue for his and Faye's wedding so he's travelling 6 hours down the country like that makes sense" I say
"Well you know they want it to be remembered I guess" Beth says
"Yeah and I'll end up being a fucking bridesmaid, great I get to wear a fancy itchy annoying dress" I say
"Aww, but you will look great" Leah says
"Great. I don't care how I look I care about my skin" I say
The girls laugh "what?" I ask
"Well you're just complaining, I mean I can't say out. But they haven't even worked a venue out I don't think your going to have to worry about wearing a dress soon" Katie says
"Great" I say sarcastically
"Well, Leah. That means ferns going to be bouncing off the walls. So you stay with de and Adam whilst I pick her up from school and I'll take her phone off her because I'm fed up with her behaviour" I say
"Wow, turning into a mum are you" katie mocks
"Oh yeah, you just wait until Lauryn comes over here" I say
"Lauryn knows simple rules" Leah points out
"That's true" I say
"I just don't get how she can't bloody avoid swearing. Or how she can't go a lesson without using her phone I mean is her phone that good?" I ask
"As if you would be able to go a day without posting on insta or TikTok" Beth says
"Hey" I say
"I could go a lot of days" I say
"Mmm I'm sure" Leah says
"Anyway Beth anything exciting going on in your life?" I ask
"Nah not really, stuck with this boring thing" she says referring to Viv
"Right I'm out" Viv says about to stand up
"Aww I'm only joking" Beth says
"Yeah I know, I've got a press conference" she says slightly laughing seeing Beth's embarrassment. We start laughing and then we all eventually leave to do recovery.
