Chapter 18

5 months later- end of the season

Me and Leah had now been together for 9 months. Our bond just getting stronger and stronger. We both got called up to the 2022 euros and Leah had been told she would be captaining England.
Fern and Grace were just becoming more comfortable around each other and we said they will spend the summer with Alex, it wasn't our idea! Alex actually  suggested it.

We finish third in the Women's super league, which definitely wasn't the best effort we could have had.
Me and Leah finish packing our bags for SGP. we get Dixie's stuff as she was also going with Alex. However, on the 8th July they are going to Leah's mums as Alex is going to be broadcasting quite a lot.

We get everyone and everything in the car and head for Alex's house. "Hey" she says with a smile as she opens the door.
"Hi Alex" I say
"Alright al?" Leah says
She invites us all in. "Right remember Fern, this time you're not allowed to break the stairs. Make sure Dixie's in her usual routine as though she was at home, and remember yous are guests so help out Alex" I say
"Don't worry. I'm sure we can work a routine out" Alex says
"I'm sorry about the stairs by the way" Fern says
"Don't worry" she says
"Look we've really got to head off. See you all at the game right?"leah says
"Obviously" they all answer

Me and Leah head to SGP. We get our bags out and go inside, I see Ella and Mary. "TESSA!" ell shouts jumping onto me
"Hey el" I say
"How do you both know each other?" Mary asks

Flashback:
On my drive down to North London I stopped off in Manchester for a coffee, I go into a coffee shop and sit on a table in the corner and go on my phone. A girl walks in who was familiar to me but I couldn't put a name to the face. Then she sat opposite me. "Tessa right?" She says
"Yeah" I say
"Ella. Ella toone" she says
"Hi. What you doing here?" I ask
"Getting my coffee but I couldn't see arsenals next superstar being by herself" she says
"I just stopped off" I say
"I know. Heard your moving in with Leah Williamson, something going on with you two?" She questions
"No, just friends" I say
After we both finished, it felt like we were real best friends. "So how you dealing with alessia leaving?" I say
"It's been hard, but I've got Mary and Millie. And the rest of the United girls" she answers
We go to my car "well I've got to head off, it was lovely to meet you" I say
"You too. Can't wait to see you at England camp" she says
"You too el" I say
"I like the nickname T" she says
"See you later" I say

Flashback ends

"Erm just in Manchester" Ella says
"Yeah a random little coffee shop" I add
"Oh she's the girl you were talking about last time?" Leah says
"Yeah. Couldn't think of your name? Stupid memory" Ella says making me laugh
"Come on T" Ella says grabbing my arm. "Seriously? Mischief already" I ask
"Come on, I've got something to show you" she says. We go to Ella's room, I leave my bag with Leah who said she'll get Mary to take it up to my room.
"So who you sharing with?" I ask
"Alessia" Ella says
We were walking around SGP. "Nice to finally see you again though, like I proper missed you" Ella says
"Same to you too. But a lot has happened" I say
"Yeah it has" she says
"Go on you tell me first" Ella says
"Erm. Well my dad died" I say
"Yeah I know. I'm sorry T" she says
"But I had my girl to help me through it all" I say
"What Leah?" She says
"Yeah what's so funny" I ask acting offended
"Oh nothing. But you were so adamant yous were just friends" Ella says laughing
"Well we were to start with" I say
"Okay so what are yous now?" Ella asks
"Girlfriends" I say
She wraps her arms around me pulling me into a tight hug. "Ella I need to breathe" I say laughing
We get to Ella's room and she runs in "ALESSIA IM BACK" she shouts
"Fucking hell ella" alessia laughs as she comes out the bathroom. "Nice to see you" she adds as she sees me.
"Long time no see" I say laughing, since we say each other yesterday.
"Who you sharing with?" Ella asks
"I don't know, you basically pulled my arm off before I could check. I'll ask Leah" I say
"Probably Leah or one of the arsenal girls" alessia says
"Probably" I say
