Part 6, Chapter 1

"Only Zeus Remains"

4 Months Before The Announcement

I decided to act now. There was time to be wasted. I went to Olympus & marched into what would be considered the "Sanctuary of Zeus". All of the gods homes on Olympus were considered sanctuaries. I was more discreet than I was before. I can't afford losing to Jin-Sang' influence once again. What would happen to me the next time it is agreed that I was a traitor ?

"Hoseok hyung, may I speak with you ?", I asked as I looked around. The sanctuaries were all indeed beautiful. It was clear each god put a lot of work into them. His was a sky blue with white accents. Oak trees were everywhere with the scent of vervain was present as the lapis lazuli gemstones were embedded into the whole of the structure. Eagles also just roamed this area which was common. Eagles are a symbol of Zeus'. 

Hoseok hyung sat on his throne as he gestured me forward. His eyes held nothing. He looked calculating & he seemed a but annoyed. "무슨 일로 나랑 얘기하고 싶어, 차일드?" (You want to speak with me about what, Child ?) I sighed as I tried once again. I couldn't stop them from taking the EBPs but I hoped they'd come back to their senses. Is it really the better option to not feel anything at all ?

"Why are you being this way ? What did he say to you ?" Jin-Sang has been my first suspect these last few months. Lady Nam as well. What was their plan ? The EBPs were not making this conversation easier. Hoseok laughed as he descended from his throne. "Nothing. Why are you being so concerned ?" The gods over these last few months have garnered admiration, but there still was the underlying fear they'd take some kind of advantage...

"Why are you like this, hyung ? I overheard that you've been having meetings about how you will all move forward with everything." He nodded as we began to walk. "걱정하시는군요. 제가 틀린 건가요? 우리가 증오심 때문에 그러는 거라고 생각하세요?" (You're worried. Am I wrong ? You think we are doing this out of hatred ?) I didn't believe they had hate in their hearts. I never would've believed that. However, I do believe that Park Jin-Sang is up to something. 

I noticed these last few months that citizens of Ophelia City were exhausted. Like the energy they exuded was all but nothing. Like they were getting absolutely no rest what so ever. I kept an eye on things after learning that Jin-Sang had some kind of plan. Hoseok hyung laughed as he gestured to the city below us. "What about mercy then ? Why must you be this difficult, hyung ?"

His demeanor was completely different. What he said next was nothing I would've expected from him. THE EBPs were certainly working. Just why does Jin-Sang want to have gods & give them armies of children ? "Mercy ? Are you saying I should show mercy to those who haven't shown me a glimpse of that kindness or respect ?" I went silent a few moments before I answered him on last time, "I'm saying you need to rethink your morals. Is forcing children into being warriors what you want to be remembered by ?"

The silence carried on as I left to go see Jungkook hyung...
