Childhood crush - Niko

As I was shopping into town I had noticed a really familiar face. One that I was not exactly planning on seeing again. Like ever.

It was niko omilana. I knew he was quite big on social media but that's not where I knew him from. We used to go to the same school when we were teenagers and I had the biggest crush on him. He was like the class clown but he was really cute.

I voice interrupted me from my thoughts.

"Hey I couldn't help but notice you were staring at me did you want a photo?" niko asked snapping me out of my thoughts realising he was stood right in front of me.

"shit sorry I uh..I thought i recognised you from secondary school" i admitted nervously.

I noticed him check me out before he gasped and said "oh my god y/n?"

I laughed a little and nodded before saying "yeah! it's been a while"

"yeah it has, well I must say you grew up beautiful" he said with a small smile on his face which made my face heat up.

"niko are you coming?" one of his friends said.

"yeah yeah hold on" he said giving them a small glance before looking back at me.

"give me your number we can catch up" he said smiling making me smile.

"yeah sure!" I said grinning before he handed me his phone before I put my number into his phone.

I handed his phone back to him before saying bye to him. I watched as he walked away with his friends him looking over his shoulder glancing at me one last time before leaving the shop.

I couldn't believe that that had just happened. I was not expecting to see him again since school let alone give him my number.

After I had finished shopping I went back home and just cleaned the phone up and whilst I was cleaning I got a message.

I quickly grabbed my phone which was on the other side of the room hoping it was niko and it was.

I clicked on it opening the message straight away.

Unknown number: hey it's niko x

Y/n: hi x

I saved his number straight away.

Niko: how are you x

Y/n: im okay exhausted lol what about you? x

Niko: same here to be honest x

Y/n: aw so how've you been since school? it seems like your doing well for yourself but then again I've always believed in you x

Niko: oh really? well yeah I guess I've been doing okay for myself, but how about you? you must be doing well for yourself too I mean you've always been really smart x

Y/n: haha yeah I've been doing pretty well actually x

Niko: I can't say I'm surprised, so what sorta things do you do? x

Y/n: I have my own clothing brand as well and I do real estate x

Niko: wow! that's amazing y/n x

Y/n: thank you x

Niko: i think we should hangout sometime if your up for it? we could go out for dinner x

Y/n: as in as friends? x

Niko: well I guess but i was hoping maybe more than that x

Y/n: wait are you being serious? x

Niko: yeah im not sure if you really noticed but in school I had the fattest crush on you to be honest lol x

Y/n: really? I never even noticed x

Niko: that's surprising since I would always try and be around you as much as possible, like remember when I asked you to tutor me and help me study even though I was getting b's x

Y/n: wait you did all that just so you could hangout with me? x

Niko: yeah lol it's quite embarrassing now that I think about it x

Y/n: no it's not it's kinda cute, you should've said something x

Niko: how was I suppose to? I mean you were the popular smart beautiful girl and I was just kinda the class clown x

Y/n: so? don't you know that girls like funny guys x

Niko: well I'll be honest you were always with bradley lmao i didn't stand a chance with you compared to him x

Y/n: oh come on niko, you know I would've picked you over and over again if you had just said something x

Niko: wait fr? x

Y/n: of course! I had the biggest crush on you throughout school x

Niko: but you and Brad were together? x

Y/n: no we wasn't lol brad's gay and his family weren't exactly supportive and would always give him a hard time at home so he had me pretend to be his girlfriend so his parents would actually be proud of him, they were horrible to him. So I had to help since he was my bestfriend x

Niko: oh shit really? i didn't even know that. wait so how comes you two would kiss and hold hands in school? x

Y/n: his uncle was the headteacher so he'd tell his parents everything so we had to make it seem real, there was never feelings involved x

Niko: that's crazy, I never would've guessed all that. so it's a date then? x

Y/n: I'd love to go on a date with you x

Niko: great! I'll let you know all of the plans, make sure you keep your schedule open on friday x

Y/n: okay! will do x
