PART FOURTEEN -LOVE, CHAOS AND DEATH

"Parker has told me and Ava his plan" I was scared it wouldn't work but it was better than nothing. Me and Ava went after Rowan. This time he is a dead man. Parker stayed behind because of his injuries.

Me and Ava stepped through each broken wall. By the time we got to the last wall, where he had landed, there was nothing. Rowan had fled but the question was where. "He's gone somewhere" said Ava. "We need to find him" I replied. "Should we split up?" She asked. "I don't think that's very wise, considering we couldn't stop him as a team let alone by ourselves" I replied. She nodded her head. That's when I could've sworn I felt a breeze on me.  Maybe there was a door near by and a way to escape this fucked up this place. I really hope so. "Come on let's look this way" said Ava. I just followed her cause I had no clue where to go. We turned a few corners and went down a few halls. Nothing. "How can someone just disappear?" Sighed Ava. That's when I realised. "Ava...he actually CAN disappear". Ava gasped. I felt the breeze again. It wasn't a door. Someone was breathing down my neck. That's when all of a sudden Rowan appeared out from being invisible and put his arms around my neck from behind. "GET OFF HER!" Ava shouted. She grabbed onto rowans arms and her head turned a flame. She burnt through his arms and I began to see his arms muscle. He let go and called out in pain. Ava grabbed me and pulled me away from his grip. I held up my hands and threw him through another wall. I levitated the bricks and made them fly at him, almost sticking to him like they were glued. "Guess you were right. I do like throwing bricks" I laughed. His arms had been burnt through. No way could he use them. Nice one Ava.

Rowan began to laugh. "Nice but not good enough". He yelled and all the bricks flew off him. Me and Ava fell over from the blast. He was struggling with his arms but was still using them. He grabbed Ava with his powers and threw her against the wall. That's when his eyes turned a blood red. He was using scarlet's power. The one I feared most.

Ava screamed out in pain. I saw her arms starting to ripple. Her blood was literally boiling. That's when he snapped her arm. She cried out in pain. I ran up to Rowan but he threw me out the way. Ava looked at me as a tear strolled down her cheek. "It's okay" she whispered. She closed her eyes and was ready to die. Rowan snapped her other arm. He walked up to her and placed his hand on her heart. He was doing what scarlet did to Parker. He was stopping her heart. Her breathing slowed and she fell down the wall. I saw her die right in front of my eyes. Me and Ava had become good friends. I started to cry on the floor. At this point I didn't care if he killed me. Everyone else was dead. He slowly made his way towards me. "Aww don't cry Piper. You just got over confident". He smiled and wiped the tears off my cheek. That's when Parker ran straight to him from behind but Rowan knew he was there. He turned around and grabbed him. He slammed Parker onto the floor and his eyes turned blood red again. He hovered his hand over Parker's chest and Parker groaned in pain. He looked at me and a tear fell down his cheek. "I love you" he whispered. Then I saw his heart ripped from his chest and into rowans hand. I saw the life leave Parker's beautiful blue eyes. Rowan walked over to me and put Parker's heart in my hand. It was still beating. "Even in death it still beats for you" he said. It was like I was paralysed with shock. It hurt so much that I couldn't cry. "Now it's your turn piper. I'll make it quick" he said. No. Parker didn't die for nothing. I had to fight. I stood up and he instantly snapped my neck. Rowan let out a sigh. "Too easy" he said.

Thats when he opened his eyes. They stopped glowing orange. He tried to stand up but we had chained him where Shaun was held. I'd put the handcuffs on him to disable his powers. "What the fuck did you do?!" He screamed at me. "It was all fake you absolute idiot" I smiled.

"How about you let me explain" I said as I paced around him. Parker and Ava stood behind me. "As soon as you were knocked unconscious from me throwing you through those walls, we ran as fast as we could to you. Parker put you in a dream like state, giving you a vision of what we wanted you to see. As you can tell, Parker and Ava are perfectly safe behind me. We dragged your body back into the room and chained you up while you were still seeing Parker's illusion. I put the handcuffs on you and I told Parker when to wake you up. He was able to go into mine and Ava's head too, and show us exactly what you could see. Just like he got into all of those guards's head" I explained making it perfectly clear. Rowan shook his hands trying to break free from the handcuffs. That wasn't possible. "Now. I think it's time your debt was due" I told him. "You what?" He asked. Ava walked up to him and put her hands against his cheeks. She was burning right through him. Then I stepped forward and Ava stepped back. Here we go. "I want you to feel what I felt. What the others felt" I lifted my hands up. "How shaun was shot" His stomach began to turn red. I simulated a bullet hitting his stomach. "How you burnt Cordelia" Ava held onto his arms and gave him the same burn injuries as Cordelia. "How Parker was stabbed" I launched a knife in his shoulder. "How you attacked nurse Connie" I broke his nose and made him feel the pain of being beaten. All that blood shed. All because of your manipulative behaviour. I think it's your turn. I want you to make up for the blood spilt". I began to open his veins on the inside of his arms. I made his eyes begin to cry blood tears. His nose oozed out blood like lava and his hands turned red. His mouth began to bleed and his head began to shake. He screamed out in pain and I flicked my hand. His agonising shouting could be heard for miles. His brain exploded inside his head. His eyes had disappeared and filled with blood. His head slowly flopped and landed on the floor like mush. Finally. It was over. Rowan was dead.

Me, Ava and Parker went to find Cordelia. Parker had gotten into her head earlier, so was able to access her memories. He led the way. We had to make sure she was okay. Ava put her arm around my shoulders. "I can't believe you did that. I can see us becoming best friends Piper" she said with a joyed tone. "So can I" I replied. We smiled at each other. "This way!" Yelled Parker. We turned the corner and found her on the floor. Her breathing was weak but stable. "She's gonna be okay" Parker said. Me and Ava let out a sigh of relief. I helped Cordelia to her feet and we went to find a way out of here.

We went through so many rooms and couldn't find one exit. That's when we entered the next room and it was full of scientists and doctors. "Oh fuck" said Ava. They picked up modified and complicated weapons. "Right everyone listen to me. I've been through too much to be stopped by a bunch of people in oversized jackets. Your boss is dead. We killed him. Now you can either leave with us or stay and waste your life" I tried to convince them. I wasn't even aggressive. A guy walked up to me. "I'm with you" he said. I smiled. That's when this bitch with blonde hair grabbed a gun and shot for me. I moved out the way and it hit a can of explosive gas. Shit. The can was pierced and it began to hiss out. The air was slowly becoming contaminated. The guy that walked to me grabbed my hand. "Come on! I'll show you an exit!" He yelled. We all followed him down the halls. The gas was filling the halls like a virus. That's when I realised. All of the chaos and destruction had left the electrical circuits weakened. That would mean every project in the building is no longer under security. The moment I realised this, before I could tell the group, a project broke through another wall. A long, jet black cobra snake. This place never fails to suprise me. The scientist looked scared. "This is bad" the giant cobra was so big its body filled the hallway. It made us look like ants. The giant cobra hissed and looked at us. I think it was either hungry or ready for the kill. "RUN!" Shouted Parker. All of us ran for our lives. I heard the cobra slithering behind us. It was close. The bricks were being damaged from the cobras big body.

The scientist was still leading the way. I hope he was still heading to the exit. The cobra continued to slither after us until we hit a dead end. "What?! This shouldn't be a dead end!" Yelled the scientist. That's when I noticed the walls had scales. "This isn't a wall. It's the cobras body" I said. "Of course. The cobra is coiling round us then will go through the middle to get the kill" the scientist explained. I heard a hissing come from behind me. The cobra smashed through a wall and opened its mouth to eat me. "Piper!!" Yelled Ava. She held her hand out and threw a handful of fire at the cobra. "Wait don't do that!" Yelled the scientist. "Why?" I asked. But then the situation got WORSE.

The cobra was no longer black. It was as if it had absorbed Ava's fire she had threw at it. It began to slowly turn a fiery red. Its back caught fire and its eyes glowed red. "The cobra can absorb attacks. Including magic" the scientist said with a tremble. That wasn't the worst part. The flammable gas was catching up to us. "SHIT!" Shouted Parker. That cobra was gonna light the whole place up. We all ran as fast as our legs would take us. The cobra raised its head and hissed but the gas reached it. The cobra was consumed and the building caught alight. The biggest explosion I'd heard took place behind me. The heat practically slapped me. The fire was filling the halls quickly. We kept running. The fire was chasing us and we needed to leave. "THERE IT IS!" Yelled the scientist as he pointed to a large door. Due to the lack of electricity i was able to easily open it with my powers. The fire was practically at my ankles. Each one of us dived out of the building and I slammed it shut with my powers behind me. The fire was cut off from my view. That's when the entire building exploded. Glass and brick was spewing like a volcanic eruption. Each of us dodged the falling items. I heard the screams of the scientists left behind and the screeches from the projects.

We all walked away from the explosion like it was nothing. A huge relief that the entire thing was gone. "Thank you guys. I can go home to my wife" said the scientist with optimism. I smiled and shook his hand. Me, Parker, Cordelia and Ava all stood watching the building burn as the scientist walked away. What do you think life is like now. Everything is so different. It felt weird to finally see daylight. To feel the leaves and grass through my fingers. "We will find a way far from here and we will build the life we never got to have" said Ava. I turned to Parker. "And I want it with you" I said. He smiled. "Me too" he agreed as he kissed me passionately. "Get a room you two" joked Ava. The next challenge to face was life itself. This facility made me into a killer but it also made me stronger. I'm sure whatever gets thrown at me, I can definitely handle it.
