A Few Weeks Later

Itzy was deep into preparations for their upcoming comeback, and Chaeryeong was feeling the pressure. Juggling so many responsibilities was taking its toll on her, and she was beginning to feel the stress build up. Coincidentally, TXT was also preparing for their own comeback, meaning they were just as busy.

"Chaeryeong-ah, I'm so excited!" Taehyun said, his voice filled with enthusiasm.

"Why?" she replied, letting out a sigh. "I'm so exhausted from all the rehearsals, but at least I'm excited for the comeback."

"Chaeryeong-ah, you fool! Since we're both having our comebacks at the same time, we'll get breaks at the same time too!" Taehyun explained with a grin.

"Omo, yes! I completely forgot about that!" Chaeryeong smiled, finally feeling a bit of relief.

Later That Day

"Chaeryeong, what do you want to eat?" Taehyun asked, looking at her expectantly.

"Chaeryeong!" he called out again when she didn't respond.

He was being ignored.

"Chaeryeong, please talk to me. I'm sorry for whatever I did!" he said, practically pleading.

"You think I've forgotten that you called me a pabo?" she said with a pout, her voice playful yet slightly stern.

"I'm not talking to you!" she said, crossing her arms and giving him an exaggerated angry expression.

"Stop it, Chaeryeong. Just stop it!" Taehyun said, a little exasperated.

Chaeryeong, now sensing his frustration, glanced at him with a concerned expression, wondering if he was mad.

"I can't take it anymore," Taehyun said dramatically.

"Wha—?" Chaeryeong was about to ask, but he interrupted her.

"You need to stop being so cute! Do you want my heart to explode?" he said, dramatically placing a hand over his chest, as if on the verge of fainting.

At this, Chaeryeong blushed furiously, her heart fluttering.

"Y-yaah, s-stop being so cheesy!" she stammered, before running off to her room in embarrassment.

The Day of the Comebacks

Today was a bit different. Itzy usually performed first, so their MCing segment would go as usual, but for TXT's performance, Taehyun wouldn't be present since he needed to prepare. A new MC would join Chaeryeong for the show, and she was both excited and a little nervous to find out who it would be.

Chaeryeong went looking for Taehyun and found herself outside his dressing room.

"Oppa!" she called as she entered, her heart suddenly racing.

He looks so handsome, she thought, her mind trailing off.
