Breaks Have Started

Finally, ITZY and TXT had gotten their well-deserved breaks after the exhausting promotions of their comebacks. Chaeryeong and Taehyun were thoroughly enjoying their time off, and Taehyun had something special planned to surprise Chaeryeong.

"Oppa! You remembered my favorite ice cream, didn't you?" Chaeryeong asked with a pout.

"Aniyo, go check the fridge again," he teased.

Chaeryeong went to the fridge, and to her surprise, found the ice cream box was empty. But when she opened it, two pieces of paper slipped out.

"Oppa, why are there papers in the ice cream box?" she asked, showing the box to him.

Taehyun chuckled at her innocent confusion.

"Yah, why are you laughing?" she asked, clearly annoyed.

"Just look at what the papers are," he said with a grin.

Chaeryeong took the box and carefully unfolded the papers. Her eyes widened when she realized what they were.

"These are tickets... to Bali?" she gasped in shock.

"Surprise!" Taehyun said, his eyes sparkling.

Chaeryeong threw her arms around him in a tight hug. "Thank you for thinking of me. This is so thoughtful," she said, her voice filled with gratitude.

"You deserve it, baby," he murmured, gently stroking her hair.

"I still want my ice cream, though," she said playfully.

"I'll buy you an entire ice cream parlor if you want," Taehyun replied, his voice dripping with humor.

"Yah, stop being so cheesy," Chaeryeong laughed, her face flushing.

After a while, Chaeryeong was preparing dinner for the two of them when she received a video call from her brother. Taehyun was asleep on the couch, so Chaeryeong placed her phone on the counter as she continued cooking.

"Annyeong, Oppa. How are you?" she asked, smiling at her brother.

"I'm fine. What about you?" he replied.

"I'm good too," she said, stirring the pot.

"What are you cooking today?" he asked.

"Jjajangmyeon," she answered.

"What? Don't you hate jjajangmyeon?" he asked, clearly surprised.

Chaeryeong paused. She wasn't fond of jjajangmyeon, but she was making it for Taehyun, as it was his favorite dish.

"U-uh..." she stammered, unsure how to explain.

Before she could respond, Taehyun, half-awake, approached her from behind and wrapped his arms around her, making her heart race. The video call was still going on.

Chaeryeong froze, not knowing what to do. But before she could react, Taehyun spun her around and pinned her gently against the wall.
