A Few Hours Later...

After a few fun activities, they were strolling around the mall. Chaeryeong and Taehyun, along with her cousin Alan, were enjoying their day despite the little hiccups along the way. Alan was now bouncing around excitedly, dragging both of them toward a nearby cafe.

Alan had already finished his ice cream and was looking for something to do next. "Let's go to the arcade!" he said, practically hopping on the spot.

"Are you sure you're not tired?" Chaeryeong asked, laughing at Alan's boundless energy.

"I'm never tired!" Alan said proudly.

"You're so cute," Chaeryeong said, ruffling his hair. Taehyun couldn't help but smile at how adorable their little trio looked together.

When they reached the arcade, Alan ran straight to the claw machine, his eyes fixed on a plush rabbit. "That rabbit is so cute!" Chaeryeong exclaimed, peering through the glass of the machine.

"Don't worry, I'll win it for you!" Alan said, confidently inserting a coin into the machine.

He tried his best, but the rabbit didn't budge.

"Move aside, Alan," Taehyun said with a grin. "Let me show you how it's done."

Taehyun's first try came close, but the rabbit got stuck on the edge, leaving him frustrated. Alan couldn't stop laughing.

"And you call yourself the best?" Alan teased, clutching his stomach as he laughed uncontrollably.

Taehyun just grinned and shrugged, taking it in stride. "Okay, okay, you're right. I'm not the best."

Chaeryeong stepped forward, her confidence shining through as she slid a coin in the machine. With a simple maneuver, she won the plush rabbit on her first try.

"Ha! I'm the best!" she said cheekily, holding up the prize.

Taehyun and Alan both stared at her in awe.

"You're amazing!" Alan said, his eyes wide.

"I guess I'm just full of surprises," Chaeryeong said, winking at both of them with a playful grin.

After spending a bit more time in the arcade, they walked around the mall and decided to take a break at one of the benches.

Just as they were sitting down to rest, a passerby stopped in front of them. A middle-aged woman smiled warmly at them and said, "You two make such a cute family."

Both Chaeryeong and Taehyun froze, looking at each other with wide eyes.

"A family?" Chaeryeong repeated, her cheeks turning pink as she glanced at Taehyun.

"Yes, a cute family!" the woman said, smiling kindly. "It's so nice to see young families enjoying their time together."

Chaeryeong and Taehyun looked at each other again, both blushing. "U-uh, we're not—" Chaeryeong started, but the woman had already walked away, leaving them to process her words.

"We're not a family," Taehyun said awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "But... maybe one day?" he added, his voice softening as he smiled at Chaeryeong.

Chaeryeong blushed even more, looking down at the plush rabbit in her hands, unsure of how to respond. "O-okay, Taehyun... but you're embarrassing me!"

Alan, who had been obliviously watching the whole interaction, suddenly piped up. "Yeah, you two do look like a family. You'd make a great one!" he teased, causing both Chaeryeong and Taehyun to burst into laughter at his bluntness.

Later that Evening

The day was winding down, and Taehyun was driving Chaeryeong and Alan home. Alan had already fallen asleep in the backseat, his head resting against the window. Chaeryeong had her eyes closed too, exhausted from the day, her head resting gently against the side of her seat.

Taehyun couldn't help but glance at her, his heart swelling. She looked peaceful, beautiful, and he found himself smiling at the thought of her.

Once they arrived at her place, Taehyun carefully turned off the engine and looked at her again. He was about to wake her up when he noticed she was still asleep.

Gently, he reached over and took a necklace from the box beside him. It was a heart-shaped pendant, engraved with their initials, "C" and "T." He carefully put it around her neck, smiling as he did so.

Just then, Chaeryeong stirred slightly, her eyes fluttering open. "Taehyun? What are you—"

"Shh," he whispered softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "I'm just putting this on you."

She blinked at him, a soft smile forming on her lips. "Thank you... it's beautiful."

"No problem," Taehyun said, his voice quiet, his heart racing. He reached over to gently pull her out of the car and carry her to her door.

When Lia answered the door, she squealed loudly, her eyes wide. "Oh my god!" she exclaimed, rushing to grab her phone. "Taehyun! You two are like a K-drama couple!"

The other girls appeared soon after, surrounding Taehyun and Chaeryeong with excited expressions.

"Wow, Taehyun, you're carrying her like that? So sweet!" Ryujin gushed.

Yuna grabbed a Polaroid camera and snapped a few pictures. "This is perfect! So cute!"

Yeji chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Impressive, Taehyun. You're handling this like a pro."

Taehyun, now a bit embarrassed, stood there awkwardly while the girls took pictures and squealed. He was thankful that Chaeryeong was still asleep, her head resting on his shoulder as he held her carefully.

"Okay, okay, guys. Stop now and tell him where her room is before he drops her!" Lia said, half-laughing as she gestured for Taehyun to follow her inside.

"I won't drop her," Taehyun said reassuringly, his voice steady. "I've got her."

The girls giggled and gave him directions to Chaeryeong's room, teasing him all the while. Taehyun, however, was focused solely on Chaeryeong, making sure she was comfortable as he carefully carried her inside.

Once inside her room, he gently placed her on her bed and tucked her in, his heart full of warmth as he looked at her peaceful face.

Before he left, he leaned down and kissed her forehead softly. "Goodnight, princess," he whispered, his voice filled with tenderness.

As he closed the door behind him, he couldn't help but smile, knowing that, despite the teasing and the unexpected "family" comment, he was exactly where he wanted to
