Finally, the day had arrived when Chaeryeong and Taehyun would head to Bali. Both of them were excited, though their reasons were quite different. Chaeryeong eagerly anticipated exploring the beautiful island, while Taehyun was, well, we all know what was on his mind.

They boarded the flight and settled into the comfort of First Class.

"Oppa, aren't you worried someone might recognize us?" she asked, glancing at him with a raised brow.

"So what?" he replied, his voice casual.

"Yah, you're never serious," she huffed, annoyance creeping into her tone.

"Because I don't care—as long as you're with me," he said with a smirk.

Chaeryeong rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress the soft smile that tugged at her lips. She linked her arm with his, resting her head on his shoulder and gazing out at the view. She felt a deep sense of gratitude, but words couldn't quite capture it.

Taehyun returned her smile, his gaze softening as he watched her.

After their long flight, they finally arrived in Bali and made their way to the hotel.

The receptionist greeted them warmly.

"Sir, you both make a beautiful couple. Is she your wife?" the receptionist asked.

"Yes," Taehyun answered confidently.

Chaeryeong shot him a 'What are you saying?' look, but he just smirked in response, making her cheeks flush.

"How long have you been married?" the receptionist continued, clearly excited about the news.

"We're newlyweds," Taehyun said, clearly enjoying the moment.

"Really? So, I guess you're here for your honeymoon," the receptionist added with a playful smile.

"Yes," Taehyun said, his voice tinged with a hint of surprise at how quickly things were escalating.

The receptionist handed them their room key, and they proceeded to their room.

"Oppa, why is there only one room key? Aren't we supposed to stay in separate rooms?" Chaeryeong asked, puzzled.

Taehyun paused, trying to keep his cool. "I was looking for a separate room, but the hotel's fully booked. Don't worry, the room has two separate beds."

He wasn't exactly telling the truth.

They entered the room only to find a single, large bed.

"Oppa, why is there only one bed here? They must have made a mistake," Chaeryeong said, clearly uncomfortable with the situation.

"I don't know. Maybe they were fully booked, and this was the only room left. If I go check now, it will take forever, and we'll miss our schedule," Taehyun said, attempting to mask his nervousness.

"But..." Chaeryeong began, hesitant.

"Yah, Lee Chaeryeong," Taehyun said, moving closer.

As he took a step forward, she instinctively stepped back, until she was pressed against the wall, her back touching the cool surface. Taehyun leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear, sending a shiver down her spine.

"What are you thinking about, sharing a bed with me? Are you shy?" he whispered, his voice low and teasing.

Chaeryeong gulped, her face flushing red. She was indeed shy, but she didn't know how to respond.

Before she could answer, there was a knock at the door.

Taehyun quickly pulled away and opened the door to reveal a hotel worker.

"Sorry for the disturbance, sir. I wanted to inform you about the beach party. It will be held on our private beach from 5 to 7 p.m.," the worker said.

"Thank you," Taehyun replied, closing the door after him.

"A beach party?! Oh my god, I'm so excited!" Chaeryeong exclaimed, her face lighting up with enthusiasm.

Taehyun couldn't help but smile at her joy.

"It's 4:30 now. You can change," he said, eager to move past the earlier tension.

"Nope, you go first. I'll need more time to get ready," she replied.

Taehyun nodded and headed for the bathroom, changing into his outfit. When Chaeryeong saw him emerge, her heart skipped a beat. His chiseled body and effortless confidence left her speechless.

"You can't resist me, can you?" he said, leaning against the doorframe with a playful smirk.

Chaeryeong just rolled her eyes, but inside, her heart was racing. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach.

"I'm going to change," she replied, trying to compose herself.

A few minutes later, she stepped out of the bathroom. Taehyun's breath caught in his throat when he saw her. Her outfit made her look stunning—effortlessly beautiful, and it took all his willpower not to stare.

"Lee Chaeryeong, you gorgeous woman, you don't do justice to my poor heart," he murmured, almost to himself.

She smirked, enjoying the effect she had on him. "Yah, are you only going to wear this much?" he asked, a hint of jealousy in his voice, noticing the admiring looks from other people.

"Yes, I'm going to wear this. And look at you! You're practically shirtless!" she teased, suddenly feeling a bit possessive.

"Since we're both jealous, should we..." He stepped closer, his words trailing off as he moved in on her.

Chaeryeong's breath caught, but before anything could happen, the bell rang at the door.

She rushed to open it, grateful for the interruption.

"Hello, ma'am. I'm here to inform you that the beach party has started," the hotel employee said with a polite smile.

"Aish, this housekeeping guy always comes at the wrong time!" Taehyun grumbled, sulking.

"Let's gooo!" Chaeryeong urged, linking her arm with his, making him smile instantly.

They made their way to the beach party, but upon arriving, they quickly realized that they weren't cut out for such a crowded event. The loud music and mass of people made it difficult for them to enjoy themselves.

After some time, they found themselves walking along a quiet, isolated beach, the sound of the waves crashing in the background. They sat down on the warm sand, watching the sun slowly dip beneath the horizon.

There was a peaceful silence between them, one that was comfortable and sweet. Chaeryeong's head rested on Taehyun's shoulder as his arm encircled her, holding her close.

Finally, Taehyun broke the silence, his voice soft yet full of emotion. "Lee Chaeryeong, I've wanted to tell you something..."

He paused, gathering his thoughts. "I will always love you. Even from a distance. Even if you're in someone else's arms."

He waited for her response, but when he glanced down at her head on his shoulder, he saw that she had fallen asleep.

A smile spread across his face as he gazed down at her peaceful expression. In that moment, he felt the happiest he had ever felt. It didn't matter what happened in the future; right now, everything was perfect.
