Taehyung's POV:

I brought the car to stop and turned my gaze towards her. My lips parted to speak but an inexplicable silence fell over me.

She was still asleep. The seat was reclined, her body angled towards me and I couldn't help but be captivated by the sight of her. Her brunette curls which usually tamed in a neat ponytail were now cascading freely across her face, framing her features. She looked softer and carefree.

My eyes traced the lines of her face, the gentle rise and fall of her chest, the way her hair splayed out across the seat. A soft sigh escaped her lips drawing me closer. Her short eyelashes fluttered slightly and her cheeks looked even more puffy and youthful pressed against the seat.

She was undeniably lovely. Something about her, so unguarded and peaceful made it impossible to look away. My hand twitched with an instinctual desire to reach out and tuck a stray curl behind her ear but I hesitated, afraid to disturb her serenity.

Instead, I found myself simply watching her and absorbing her every detail.

My hand curled into a fist against my thigh as I tried to ground myself. What was I even doing? Admiring her like this? Confusion battling with the undeniable pull I felt.

Why was I so drawn to her? We had only met a few weeks ago, exchanged nothing more than short words in brief encounters. Yet here I was, utterly captivated. No matter how much I tried to rationalize it, the truth was undeniable. I was drawn to her in ways I couldn't articulate. So I just sat there, watching her sleep.

Fuck you Kim Taehyung.

Get back to your senses.

Despite every warning my mind screamed at me, I found myself leaning closer to her. The intoxicating scent of strawberries and watermelons surrounded me, muddling my thoughts and casting a spell on the rational part of my brain. The distance between us diminished, inch by inch, until our noses brushed together. I could feel the warmth of her breath on my lips just a mere inch away.

But just as I was about to close the gap, a voice from back shattered the silence inside the car.

"Are you going to kiss her?"

What the hell!!!!

The unexpected voice jolted me and I instinctively flinched away from her, nearly bumping my head against the roof of the car. My heart pounded wildly in my chest as I pressed my hands against it.

"Holy shit."My sudden movement had startled Jude too. Her eyes fluttered open and she blinked rapidly, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. Her hand instinctively reached for the door still caught in the fog of sleep.

Her initial confusion quickly gave way to a bewildered expression as she glanced around the car trying to piece together what had just happened. She looked like a lost kitten with her wide eyes and disoriented expression.
