╰┈➤Third Person's POV:

Taehyung arched an eyebrow as he glanced at the imposing board in front of him, adorned with a vibrant poster announcing the screening of "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire."

Alex stood beside him, slightly taller and wearing an awkward grin. Taehyung folded his arms, amusement and incredulity crossing his face.

"So," Taehyung began, his voice laced with sarcasm, "this is your important work?" He gestured toward the poster, one eyebrow quirked higher as he shot Alex a knowing glance.

Before Alex could answer, Kevin who was predictably the mastermind behind the outing, interjected with a nonchalant shrug, rolling his eyes at Alex's awkward silence. "What's with the tone, man? There's nothing more important than Godzilla." Kevin retorted, his tone tinged with mild irritation as if Taehyung had just insulted the King of Monsters himself.

Taehyung bit back a sharp comeback, realizing Kevin was already in a bad mood. He didn't want to push the tension further, especially when Kevin had been on edge ever since Taehyung had dropped the news about leaving for New York.

"Of course, there's nothing more important than Godzilla." After all, how else will you learn to recharge yourself and then blast us with your mouth beams of words? Taehyung responded dryly, offering a tight-lipped smile. His unsaid thoughts, however, were far from agreeable.

Kevin scoffed, catching the jest but too annoyed to fully appreciate it.

"So why are we still standing out here?" Taehyung asked, eager to shift the conversation to something lighter. "Let's just go inside and watch the movie."

Kevin shot him a look that was equal parts amused and irritated. "Let the girls come first, you idiot." Without warning, Kevin smacked Taehyung on the back of his head, eliciting a sharp hiss from him.

"Hey, that hurt!" Taehyung complained, rubbing the back of his head with an exaggerated pout. His long fingers pressed against his scalp.

"That was exactly the point, you wet sock."

The insult earned a suppressed snort from Alex who was barely managing to hold back his laughter. However, Taehyung couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness at Kevin's tone. He knew his friend was upset but he couldn't find the words to address it directly. Kevin had been his best friend since forever and he genuinely cherished him, even though their relationship often resembled that of two bickering teenagers.

As the trio stood in front of the theater, a brief silence fell over them. Taehyung glanced at Kevin from the corner of his eye, noticing the furrow in his friend's brow, the stiffness in his posture.

"Listen..." Taehyung began but his voice trailed off when Alex interrupted him.

"They're almost here. Jules and Jude should be here any minute."
