Taehyung's POV:

Sakura was shining like a star today. Of course, she was the main character today and no one deserved it more than her. After all, it was her first art exhibition. She had worked tirelessly toward for years. The excitement and nervousness radiating from her were palpable and I couldn't help but feel proud of her.

"Thank you, Taehyung. If it wasn't for you, I don't know how I would've gotten those paintings back." she said for what must have been the tenth time that evening. Her voice was sincere but I was beginning to lose count of how many times she’d thanked me.

"Alright, alright." I chuckled, holding up my hands in mock surrender. "But if you say 'thank you' one more time, I'm out of here." I pointed a finger at her, narrowing my eyes to show I was serious or at least pretending to be.

Sakura giggled, shaking her head. "Okay, okay. I'll stop." She smiled warmly before turning to attend to more guests.

Just as I was about to scan the room for water to drink, I heard a dramatic whine from behind me. "Why am I here, just to be ignored?"

I turned and rolled my eyes when I saw Kevin standing there with a deep scowl on his face. This man-child.

"Stop behaving like a spoiled brat." I said, giving him a pointed look. "Today is Sakura's big day and I don’t want any of your nonsense. You're here to keep me company, remember?"

Kevin huffed, crossing his arms like a kid who wasn’t getting his way. But then, his expression shifted. His eyes flicked over my shoulder and a smirk slowly crept onto his face. I knew that look—it was the look he got when something amusing or scandalous was about to happen.

I raised an eyebrow. "What now?"

Kevin snickered, tilting his head in the direction of the crowd behind me. "I'm here to keep you company but it seems like your blood-related brother is keeping someone else company tonight. If you know what I mean."

Frowning, I turned to see what he was talking about and my jaw nearly dropped.

There was Namjoon, standing with Sakura, looking every bit the gentleman. He had one hand tucked into his pocket, the other gesturing toward her paintings as if they were the most fascinating works of art he'd ever seen.

And Sakura? She was smiling back at him, her eyes gleaming with sparkles.

Not Namjoon. My overly responsible, calm and composed brother trying to charm Sakura? I blinked, trying to process what I was seeing.

Kevin was practically grinning ear to ear clearly enjoying my reaction. I frowned. Not happening brother.

I glanced back at Kevin who was still smirking like the devil. "Shut up." I muttered, turning my gaze back to Namjoon and Sakura.
