Taehyung's POV:I squinted my eyes as something sharp stung them. That sudden sensation sent a surge of discomfort through my skull. Groaning, I felt a sharp pain radiate from my spine all the way to my head, intensifying the throbbing ache that had settled there. My limbs were heavy and it took a considerable amount of effort to force my eyes open, blinking as they adjusted to the bright sunlight streaming into the room through the open window.
"Shit!" I muttered under my breath as I sat up, the movement only worsening the pounding in my head. A dull ache throbbed at my temples and for a moment, I couldn't quite remember how I ended up here. Stretching my legs out, I arched my back, groaning softly in relief at the satisfying pops and cracks of my stiff joints.
Okay, what the hell is going on? I blinked again, trying to get my bearings as I looked around the room. It was my room but everything felt slightly dizzying like the world was tilting on its axis. I massaged my temples, willing the fog in my mind to clear but nothing came to me right away.
Think, Taehyung, think.
I tried to gather my thoughts, piecing together fragmented memories of the night before. Kevin had been upset with me... and then I remember having a few drinks with Alex. After that? A blank. It was as if my brain had decided to shut off halfway.
"Ah, forget it." I muttered, shaking my head. I could always ask Alex later. No point in pushing my already aching brain so early in the morning. With a heavy sigh, I glanced toward the bedside clock, the bright red numbers glaring at me. 11 AM.
Well, there goes college for the day.
I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, wincing. My steps were unsteady as I stood up, the room spinning slightly as I made my way toward the door. All I needed was some cold water to clear the fog in my head. Maybe then the headache would ease up and I'd feel somewhat human again.
I stumbled down the stairs. My mouth was dry and I could still taste the tequila inside my mouth. As I reached the bottom of the stairs, a giggle caught my attention, halting me in my tracks.
I turned my head toward the dining room and spotted Sakura sitting at the table, her eyes glued to her phone. Her plate sat untouched in front of her, growing cold. She was so engrossed in whatever she was having on her phone that she didn't seem to notice me.
I narrowed my eyes slightly, debating whether or not I should say something. She was probably chatting with her boyfriend again. Part of me ignored it. But before I could take another step, her voice stopped me.
"Oh, you're awake, Taehyung."
I turned my head toward her again, her warm smile greeting me. Sakura always had this sixth sense. I forced a small smile in return, not wanting to seem rude despite the pain pulsing through my skull.
