"Have you done a test yet?" Johnny was topless and just wearing sweats as he bent over the en suite sink and splashed water on his face. Holly was in a short silk robe hanging up the towel that had been thrown on the floor after Johnny had donned said sweats. "No it's still a day or two early... online it says you should wait at least two weeks from ovulation." "This is beyond a joke... you got pregnant so easily before we didn't even think about it." "I know." Holly said quietly. "You're not fretting about this are you?" Johnny asked slowly approaching running his fingers through her hair. "No honest I'm ok.. I just want to know." Holly said with a smile. "I need to get the girls up.. we'll be late for my parents." She left the room and Johnny watched her, after their years of being together he still couldn't take his eyes from her.

Later that day, the family had all gathered at Holly's parents house. "So Johnny has accepted a role, we'll be in America from September." The woman said to her mother. "Wow... I knew he was considering it. How do you feel about that?" "I'm happy for him. America was our home for a while, it's where we met. It will always hold a special place for me." Grace nodded before handing over drinks for her daughter to carry into the sitting room. As they did so, they spotted the grandchildren all sat on the floor playing with her father, even Jack had joined in the bundling and was screeching for his little sisters and cousins to stop tickling him. Johnny was watching the scene fondly. How he hoped that they would be blessed again with another child but even he knew none of these things would be guaranteed.

"So as we all know... it's my fortieth this year.. not that I need reminding." Ben smirked at his wife. "And I've decided what I want to do to celebrate." "Oh go on..." Grace said excitedly. "I would like the family to take a group trip. A real vacation, like the ones we used to do when we were young." He said looking at his siblings. "I want my son to have the same memories I do with our cousins. I want this brood to bond over staying up late, swimming, running along ridiculously overpriced beaches, that they have no idea how beautiful the spot really is." Holly giggled at this. "So where do you want to go?" Adam asked. His youngest child, an almost two year old girl called Ellie climbing into his lap. "Well looking at the timing.. there's certain places that are better than others... but Hawaii has always been on my list." There were a collective groups of gasps and agreement. "That's a hell of a long way." Michael added. "But we can make it work." Grace added excitedly. "You actually want to be away for your birthday?" Holly asked. "If that's do-able for everyone." Holly looked at Johnny who nodded and smiled. "We plan to be in America from September but if you're thinking of being there for your birthday on the 3rd then we can definitely make it work." Holly said clapping her hands excitedly. "Amazing!!" Hannah said bringing up a link on her phone to an exclusive resort the pair had been looking at.

An hour later, the whole family had been talking logistics with Lily-Rose even suggesting excursions before Johnny interrupted everyone. "Look without pulling the do you know who I am card yet again... can't I just offer a plane? You guys get yourselves to LA, and we can take a charted plane? It will be so much easier with the kids, and safer." He said turning to his father in law who shared similar views on keeping the family safe. "That's far too generous Johnny." Ben quickly replied. "Call it one of your birthday gifts or whatever you want to tell yourself to sleep at night. There's no point in me, and your sister earning the money we do if we can't spend it on those we love. Logistically it's the best option." "Will the resort be safe enough? I mean won't you get hounded?" Hannah asked nervously before Johnny shrugged. "We'll make it work. If that's what Ben wants to do to celebrate his 40th then I'm sure we can make do." He said with a smile. "Dada we go on plane now?!!" Lottie asked wandering up to her father. "No darling not now but we will in a few months.. we'll go to France and then home to America, then on holiday with the whole family!" Johnny said scooping her up into his lap, "Who are the whole family?! We are Depp family." Jack smirked and Lily giggled. "No, the WHOLE family." Jack gestured to everyone sat around. "Our family munchkin. All your aunts, uncles, your cousins, Granny and Grandpa." Lottie smiled completely confused by the prospect but didn't care as she was in her favourite spot in her father's arms.

On the drive home, in the large SUV that had subsequently been purchased to sit the four children and two adults, Johnny drove and Holly asked "Were you serious about us going?" "To Hawaii?" He asked keeping his eyes on the road. "Yes." His wife replied quietly. The two teenagers were in the very rear, and the two youngest had fallen asleep a few miles prior. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" "It's just going to be a lot that's all." "I wouldn't miss it for the world would you? I love Ben's thinking. Giving these kids memories to cherish forever." Holly smiled and lent back in her chair arching her back. "They were some of our best vacations with my cousins." She began to sub consciously rub her tummy. "Doll?" Johnny noticed and looked at her before she whispered "Just a cramp that's all." He nodded before continuing the drive. Holly secretly loved this side of him. It was the closest they would ever get to normal and she craved it sometimes.
