I woke up to find Toby gone. I sighed and got up off my bed and walked to the kitchen. To my surprise, I saw the boys cooking. As boys I mean, Toby, Jared, Kyle, Leo and Shane. The girls were in the living room watching Teen Mom.
Toby stepped away from the kitchen and kissed my cheek. "Good morning babe." he says and walks back into the kitchen. Bored, I walked to the living room and sat next to Jamie. "So, what happened?" Jade asked. "Nothing. I went straight to sleep." I tell them and turned up the volume so I didn't have to hear their voices.
I wonder if Toby got over what happened last night. I don't see him in that way. "Hello beautiful." Leo says sitting next to me. "Hey." I say blushing. "Breakfast is almost ready." he tells me and puts his arm over my shoulder. My face turned red as a tomato. Leo chuckled and I hid my face. I don't like blushing. It's not my thing.
"Aw, Rylee is blushing!" Jamie says pointing her index finger at me. "That's so elementary school." I tell her and then Kyle walked in. He sat down next to Torri and kissed her.
Then Shane walked in and sat on the opposite side of me, which ment, making Jamie move from her spot.
Toby walked in and stared at Leo and Shane. They didn't move. "Can I sit with my girlfriend?" Toby asked annoyed. "Nope." Leo says and I got up. "I'm going to check on Jared." I say. "I'll come with you." Toby says. "No, I want to talk to my brother alone." I tell him and walked into the kitchen. "I heard your conversation last night." Jared says. "Nosey." I say and took a pancake.
After eating the pancake, Shane walked in and went into the refrigerator. "I don't like your boyfriend." Shane says truthfully. "What's wrong with him?" I ask. "There's something about him that I cant explain." he says and Jared nods his head in agreement. "That's all? Give the guy a chance." I say. "Of he breaks your heart, I break his neck." Shane says in a serious tone.
This is why I stayed single for 3 months. Either Shane,Leo or Kyle would let me near any guys. "If you're happy then I guess I should he happy too." Shane says and gave me a quick hug. "Breakfast is ready!" Jared yelled out. Everyone walked into the kitchen and fixed their plates.
After we ate breakfast, Toby and I walked into my room. I realized the door was fixed. "Did you change your mind?" he asked. "About what?" "Do you love me?" he asked. I really don't want to answer the subject. Why is he bringing up everything that I hate talking about? "Can we take things slow? I don't want to say that I love you when I just met you on Wednesday." I tell him. "Okay. Maybe I can take you out on a date without your friends." he says. I haven't been on a date without one of my friends before. I smiled, "That would be nice."
We've been dating for almost four month now and we've been on a lot of dates without my friends being my babysitter. "This might be my longest relationship that I've ever been in." I say. "Really?" "Yes Toby, really." I kissed him and we walked to class.
Everything was back in order but now they have high security around the school. The principal is still looking for whoever trashed the school but he will never guess it was me, after all, I am an honor student.
We made out until our teacher came inside. "You know the PDA rules. Go straighten yourselves up you two." Mrs. Hopkins says to us. The whole class stared at us laughing. We do this everyday so I'm use to it.
I walked out of the classroom and spotted Leo. "Are you skipping class?" I ask. Leo looked at me and smiled. "I'm just doing an errand for Mr. Corcherri." Leo says. "what about you?" "Same old same old." I say and Leo gave me a goodbye hug. "Tell Toby I said hey." "Alrighty." I say and watched Leo walk into the 12th grade hallway.
I walked back into the classroom which I see that Mrs. Hopkins was giving yet another lecture about behaving and respecting your peers. This is reading class.The class that I don't even get. Its so pointless. "Ms. Sherwood, take a seat." Mrs. Hopkins says.
Thank god that she put in a DVD about Robin Hood: the Outlaw of the Forest. I swear I was going to die of she gave us another lecture. I think this is the 3rd one today.
I looked around and saw my classmates sleeping on their desks. We were already in two minutes in the movie. I passed notes with Toby the whole time.
The lunch bell rung. Finally! I was starving. My stomach was growling since 4th period. "Lunch is disgusting today." Torri says looking at the green beans. "That's why I'm getting a salad." I tell her and payed for my lunch.
I waited for Torri and Kyle to get their lunch and then we sat down at our table. "I haven't seen Shane in a while." I say. "He's been helping a girl study during our lunch hours." Leo says. Shane is studying with a girl?
After lunch we went to our classes and thankfully we had an early release. "Rylee." I hear someone call my name in the hallway. "Who is it? Toby?" "No." the person says and I followed the voice. "Hello?" I called out. "Over here." the voice called from the library.
I've searched the whole library and saw no one. Suddenly, Leo popped out and tackled me onto the floor. "Leo, what are you doing!" I asked. "Sh." he says and then he kissed me! My instinct slapped him and he got off of me. "What the f**ck LEO RETTER!?" I yelled.
I ran out of the library and ran outside. I saw Shane by the parking lot with his football buddies.. I ran over to him. "Have you seen Toby?" I ask. "No, were you crying?" Shane asked. "No-yes." I say. "What happened." "Leo kissed me." I cried. I looked at Shane and saw a ball of fire in his eyes. "I'll be right back. Can one of you guys stay here with her until I get back?" Shane asked. Thayer volunteered.
"Don't kill him Shane." I say. "I'm just going to talk to him." he says walking angrily to the school. "Shane please!" I begged but he just kept walking. I heard him say "punch" "hurt" "protect" "Rylee" as he walked away.
Thayer walked me to the rest of the football players and talked about how Leo is going to get hurt very bad. I remembered what happened to Kollin. "He just cares for you. You're like his baby sister." Thayer says. "I know... Can I borrow your phone?" I asked and Thayer handed me his cell.
I called Toby.
"Where are you?"
"Shane is beating the crap out of Leo. Stay where you are." Toby says and I hung up. "Go inside!" I yell to Thayer. "Shane is going to kill Leo!" I cry and all of the football players ran into the school leaving me with b!tchy cheerleaders.
I called 911. "What's your emergency?" the operator asked. "Mu friend is hurt. Brooke Point high school." "There will be help on the way." the woman said and I hung up. The cheerleaders were scared and trying to comfort me. "It's going to be fine." one of them said and then Jared and Kyle ran over to me. "Whats going on?" Kyle asked. "Leo kissed me and I told Shane and now Shane is beating the crap out of Leo." I say crying on his shoulder. He comforted me. "Did you call the police?" Jared asked. I nod my head and saw flashing lights.
I saw Toby and Shane walk out with a backpack and walked over to us. Thayer followed. "What the f**ck were you thinking man?" Kyle asked gently living me off of my shoulder. "You'd do the same thing so shut up!" Shane said and then I saw Leo on a stretcher. "I hate you!" I sayI ran to the ambulance and told them I was his sister. "Leo I'm sorry." I say. "It's okay. I should be sorry. I wanted to kiss you. I just think that you'd tell Shane." he says faintly. "He's my brother. Of course Id tell him." I tell him and kissed his cheek.
I stayed with Leo in the hospital for the rest of the day and I saw Shane walk in with balloons and a teddy bear. I held onto Leo's hand. "Hey there Leo." Shane said. "I'm sorry for almost killing you. You just cant to and kiss her. She has a boyfriend she's already confused." Shane says and then Toby and Kyle walked in and handed me a balloon. "Thanks." I say and Toby say next to me.
I looked at all of my friends and sighed. Finally Leo talked. "Rylee's blushing." he says. All of the guys looked at me. "I heard that blushing means you are beginning to have a crush on someone." Kyle says and chuckled. "Before we go anywhere into that conversation, is it true that you were in a drive by?" Leo asked. "Who said that?" Toby asked. "A birdie." he says and Toby said no.
Then they all went back to my subject. I cant believe they made up that quick. Wow. "Rylee, you keep blushing." Toby says. I looked away. "Who is the one that she's blushing at?" my friends asked. I looked at all of them and then it hit me. I'm in love with all of my guy friends.
