Dad came back around 1 and he took Shane, Jared and I out for lunch. After lunch he took us to the aquarium. I do t understand why dad was being so nice today. Maybe he got a promotion? "Dad, why are you now spending time with us?" I ask. "I was going to tell you this later, but since you're questioning me....." he says. "Me and your mother filed a divorce. It's settled already." dad says and I hugged him.
Shane hugged me as well. He knew that I disliked my mother. "That's great dad! Wait, can I still stay here?" I ask. "I don't see why not. I mean, you've been paying the bills and you seemed to be handling things on your own." dad says and I hugged him again. "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!" I say.
Can this day get any better? "What about me?" Jared asked. "You can live with Rylee or me or we can search for some houses." dad suggests. "If I move out... I want you to take good care of her." Jared says to Shane. "I'll guard her with my life." Shane answers. "Good. I want her to be alive when I see her again." Jared says and pats Shane on the back.
With dad telling the good news, I laid on my bed. Shane sits down next to me. I scoot over and lay my head on his legs. "You're so beautiful." Shane says. "Is that a good or bad thing?" "Good. Always good. I don't see the bad in being so beautiful." he explains. "I just wanted to make sure." I say and Shane kisses me on the cheek and tells me once again, that I was beautiful.
A few days later, Jared moved out and moved with my dad. I'm back to being lonely. The only company that comes by is Shane or the crew. Other than that, I feel bored.
Schools out! Whoo! No more waking up early for no reason! Now I can sleep in and stay out at night. I'm free!
OHMYGOSH, tell me why Shane,Leo,Kyle and Toby pulled a prank on the principal! They took his entire office and placed it on top of the school and his car! The craziest thing was that they never got in trouble. Oh, and the principal still can't find out who trashed the school. I should write him a letter. Nah. He'll survive.
The first week of summer vacation, the crew and I went surfing. I got pulled into a wave and Shane had to pull me out. There were a lot of cute guys there checking us out, probably stripping our clothes off in their minds, but nobody is cuter compared to Shane. Scratch that, nobody is gorgeous as Shane. I mean his smile makes me melt all the time!
The second week I had to visit my mom. It was part of the divorce custody enhancement thingie. Dad explained it to me but I still never understood what he ment.
I said good bye to Shane since my mom moved to Florida. I don't understand why she moved so far away but I'm glad she did. "Call me when you arrive at your moms ." Shane says faintly. "Okay. I'll see you in 2 weeks." I tell him and Shane kissed me for what felt like an hour or so. He pulled back and I hugged him. "Bye Shane." I say and got into my car that dad bought me last week.
When I pulled into my moms driveway, I saw a guy my age and a man standing there looking so eager to find out who pulled into their driveway. I got out of my car and locked it.
Madeline, my 'mom', ran out of the house and hugged me. "You've gotten taller since the last time I saw you." she says. "Yeah, when you slapped me I grew taller." I say sarcastically. Madeline looked at me as if she was picturing me being killed and she was the one killing me. "Who are they?" I asked. "This is my fiancee, Robert and this is the one I want you to marry, Adam." she says introducing me to the strangers.
OHMYGOD, my 'mom' is a s!ut! "First of all, fiancee? Second, I AM NOT GETTING MARRIED TO HIM!" I yell. "Now. Now. Just calm down." Madeline says. "Im not going to get married to some guy that's rich so you can inherence his money! Adam, I'm sorry if I'm hurting your feelings even though I haven't met you yet. And Robert, did you know that she just wants you for your money? I mean come on! I swear, adults are so controlling! Wait, why am I here when I'm 18? I'm practically an adult!" I say trying to calm down.
Stupid lawyers didn't know that I was eighteen! "Rylee, you can stay here for tonight and then you may leave in the morning if you like." Robert offers. "I don't want to ruin this image. I'll be on my way. And what don't you like about Shane?" I ask Madeline. "He's too handsome and he's older than you." she says. "By a year! I love Shane and I don't care if he's too handsome , that's one of the things that makes me fall for him harder." I say. I can't believe that she wants me to marry a stranger.
I stormed into my car and called Shane " I'm on my way home." I say. So early? What did she do?" he asked. "I'll tell you when I get home." I tell him and he says okay and that he loves me. I turned my phone off and continued driving. I wasted my day on nothing. I don't even think me and Madeline are going to be talking to each other anytime soon. I hope not.
