IT WAS ISLAS TURN TO BE ON WATCH THE NEXT MORNING. She sat there and enjoyed the peace and quiet while watching Lexa snore softly a couple of feet away. She looked really sweet and soft while she slept, but as soon as she woke up, it was like a whole new person took over her body.

There was a rustling in the bushes, and Isla immediately jumped to her feet, knives in hand and ready to fight. She considered waking Lexa, but she did not have time when the male tribute from District 5 practically flew out of the brush and tried to tackle her.

She dove out of the way, and he tumbled onto the ground. He scrambled to his feet, spear in hand. She had only short range weapons, and she was caught off guard. So, she grabbed a stick and used that the block the spear as if they were having a sword fight. The force of him lunging at her knocked her over, and she fell down. He climbed on top of her, trying hard to press the spear into her face as she desperately tried to keep it away.

Her eyes widened when one of her knives in his arm, and he fell off of her. Lexa charged toward him with her sword, and the Angler girl realized that she must have thrown the knife. She must have been aiming for his head and missed, but Isla was not going to critique her when she had just saved her life.

The Armada woman fought him, and he used his spear as a sword. However, since it was not a sword, after a couple of swings, her blade sliced through the wood of the handle. He stared at the piece of lumber in his hand in shock, and while he was distracted. Lexa ran him through the stomach with her sword, pinning him to a tree as she did so. She pulled it out after a moment, looking away so that she did not have to see the life drain from his eyes as he crumpled to the ground.
