BY THE END OF THE BROADCAST, PEOPLE WERE IN TEARS. Finnick's eyes had never left the screen. He had not even blinked until Isla went off the screen, even though tears were pouring down his face. He could not stand to see the girl that he considered a sister, his responsibility, like that.

Lexa was frozen in place for a moment, staring at the black screen. Despite the fact that Isla was no longer there, the brunette woman could still picture her. She was scared that that image would never leave her brain. The Angler woman had looked so skinny, even though they had tried to dress her up and make her seem like she was doing fine.

The Armada woman's heart broke when she saw the blonde woman toying with the bracelet that she had slipped onto her wrist that night in the arena. She couldn't take it anymore. Lexa pushed herself to her feet and stormed out of the room.
She made it into the hallway before she lost it. She let out a loud sob, trying to cover it with her hand, and she fell to her knees. Isla was there, probably being tortured and not being fed, and Lexa was there, eating all that she wanted and getting good treatment.

She suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder, and she glanced up to see Katniss standing over her. The Everdeen girl made her way to crouch in front of the older woman, and Lexa did not have it in herself to keep her feelings pushed down. "She was so skinny. What are they doing to them? What are they doing to her?"

"I don't know," Katniss breathed out, rubbing the woman comfortingly on the shoulder. She paused for a moment before speaking up, telling her something that would hopefully please her. "I made a deal with President Coin. I'll be their Mockingjay if they go rescue them."

"Good. I don't think I can see her like that again.," Lexa responded, shaking her head. She wanted the rescue mission to happen the next day, and she wanted to be on the team that went. However, she knew that Coin would never allow that. They would need time to prepare, and she would not want to risk any of the Victors that they had getting hurt because they were 'powerful' in the war.

Lexa did not feel powerful. She felt weak and helpless. Katniss patted her once more on her shoulder before standing up and offering a hand to help her off. "Come on, we have to go to the assembly."
