Alessandra's eyes lit up like she was seeing a bunch of cute Golden Retriever puppies when we told her we were going to get her son back.

Seeing her eyes light up like fireworks made me secretly smile, tho I didn't show it.

My mood had lifted, going into the forest. My boots crunching wood and stone.

I still couldn't shake the anxious feeling I got as I lead through the woods. The anxiety of seeing my family again but the jittery excited feeling crept in too.

Alessandra and I lead the way through the dark eerie woods of Maldone, as thee queens of the city. Swords on our hips and our Attention alert.

I didn't know what to say to her. I couldn't look at her without feeling dread, sadness, or stress.

"𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟"

"I think this is far enough" Alessandra murmured. Pulling her fur coat closer around her neck.

Her diamond dangle earrings glittered in the rays of moonlight. Her lips as red as her skin—that seemed extra red tonight—.

Alessandra had a bottle of liquid in her hands. I noticed how she kept twirling it around between her fingers. Tugging the woolen string attached to the cap. Her delicate fingers tapping the glass almost hard enough to crack it. I recognized her anxious tendencies.

Before I could even recognized what I was doing I grabbed ahold of her bobbing hand and settle it.

Alessandras hand immediately stilled. Her hand ice cold I could barely bare to hold onto her any longer but I did, a second, two, three.

Alessandra expression was sealed as she looked down at me. As I slowly let go of her hand and shoved my own into the pocket of my trousers.

"Everyone! I think it's time" I called out not taking my eyes off of her.

I slowly pulled out the tiny bottle of liquid my mother gave me. The liquid glowed in the darkness.

People quieted and watched as I pulled off the top with a loud plop. Soft trundles of smoke swirled into the air.

I brought the bottle to my lips and took a small sip. Hot and salty Metallic liquid dripped down the back of my throat and into the pit of my empty stomach. I instantly felt the urge to puke but I held it as I lifted to bottle to Alessandra "Drink"

Without hesitation Alessandra brought bottle to her lips and took a larger sip then needed.

The bottle was passed around from person to person. We needed at least half of the bottle to get back home. So everyone took a small sip.

People groaned and gurgled as they swallowed the liquid. I didn't bare tell anyone what the mixture was, tho they complained.

I felt fire suddenly burn the back of my throat and the bottom of my stomach. A sensation anyone would think would be agonizing but it was anything but, It was actually... calming.

"You're glowing" I heard Alessandra say suddenly. I looked down at my body and I was indeed glowing. A blue, cool and calming hue.

The veins in my wrists, hands, and neck were flowing with my wonderful magic. Everyone seemed to stop and stare as the moon found its way to me. Casting its light onto me.

My white coily curls blew around my face as I reached towards the sky. The moon and stars were so low I could almost touch them.

I whisper a small spell to the sky and within seconds a singular droplet fell into the palm of my hand.
