It was late at night. The palace was dark and eerie and everyone was out hunting.

I was left alone with the kids while Alessandra went hunting in the woods for blood with her best friend Isabelle.

Aless rarely ever hunted, as she had people who willingly donated their blood to the palace to keep her thirst at bay but occasionally she liked to hunt. She said "It was fun". I didn't know how "fun" drinking peoples blood was but after all I wasn't a blood sucker either.

"Auntie Rose!" I heard someone calling my name, coming from the down the hall as foot steps ran closer behind me. And then someone else was calling me "Mama mama!!"

I turn around to see Leon flying over Phia's head. His devil wings extended and flapping. He was desperately trying to get my attention first.

Phia ran behind Leon as he came to landing in front of me. She was breathing heavy with her hands on her knees.

My thirty two year old age showing in the way I turn around with my hands on my hips "Did you guy run all the way here from the new palace?"

We built a palace separate from the original one not that long ago. Me and Aless came to the decision that we needed more privacy for ourselves but most off all for Leon.

Instead of kicking everyone out of the main palace. We built a second palace next door. The new palace was more of my style if anything. The castle was blue and gold themed with a bunch of vintage assets. There was a huge statue outside of the castle with each faze of the moon.

"Yes, mama but-"

"Can we go play in the town" Phia cut Leon off before he could finish his sentence.

I tilted my head in thought with my hands still on my hips.
I didn't know. Leon was only six and Phia was barely old enough to cook on the stove. Just twelve. I didn't know if I could trust her.

"Pretty please mama" Leon begged. Phia and Leon gave me puppy dog eyes.

I sighed "Fine, but if anything happens Phia I'm sending you home to your mother" 

Phia smiled gratefully and grabbed Leon by the arm "Got it! Let's go"

The were off like a flash. Running down the hallway laughing. I watched them until I couldn't see them anymore and continued walking back towards my bed chamber.

Tho, we don't really live in this palace anymore. I still had most of the things still here. And while we stay in a whole new place now, Alessandra and I still run our kingdom here.
We are really ever not here. 

Good thing isabelle is in charge of this palace now and making sure valuables don't get stolen. Isabelle even won guard of the year last year. A new tradition I just started, as well as a new hair care line for black women.

I made a national speech not too long ago about the lack of black women hair care and accessories.

And not long after that almost every store began selling hair care products specifically for black people. Not that white people shit disguised as a black person product.

I walked by Alessandra's office. The light was off but the door was left a crack. That was weird, Isabelle is supposed to lock this door after every use.

"I'm going to have to get on Isabelle's ass again" I sighed as I was went to the door and was about to close it when I was grabbed and pulled inside darkness.
