Texts & Bed Rest

Phil's POV

I was on bed rest and Dan was out shopping. Great. I looked around my room and sighed, it was pretty quiet around here when Dan was gone.

I decided to watch Free! on Netflix until Dan returned. This was going to be a boring couple of weeks.

I felt a vibration on my thigh, which startled me, embarrassingly enough. I grabbed my phone and checked the notification.

From: Unknown number:

Hey, is this Phil?

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

To: Unknown number:

Um, yeah. Who's this?

I replied curiously, waiting for a response. This could be a creepy rapist for all I know. Needless to say I was a little bit intimidated.

From: Unknown number:

It's Armin, from yesterday at the library. I wanted to see if you were alright, because you said you were on bed rest?

I let out a sigh of relief and smiled. It was only Armin.

To: Armin

Oh, yeah. Thanks for checking up on me by the way :). And, as weird as it sounds, I got shot in the side.

He was going to be so confused.

From: Armin

Oh my god! Are you alright?! I had no idea it was this serious!

I giggled. Armin is the kind of person who will be worried over the smallest things. Although, this wasn't a small thing.

To: Armin

Yeah, I'm alright thanks. No need to worry :3

Just then, I got another text.

From: Bear

Hey sweetheart. I'm almost home :3

I blushed at 'hey sweetheart.' He was so adorable I might actually die.

To: Bear

Yay! Can't wait to see you even though you were only gone for like 30 minutes. :3

From: Bear

Remember to stay in bed! You're not meant to be up.

To: Bear

Sure thing, mom.

From: Armin

Are you going to contact the police about this? Don't you want to know who shot you and make sure they're locked up?

I took a deep breath in. I wasn't one for huge investigations or police situations. I like to stay out of things like that.

Armin had a point, I should find out who shot me, although I had a good guess. I'll have Dan contact the police and figure it out, if he hasn't already.

To: Armin

I guess I should give them a call shouldn't I?

From: Armin

Who do you think did it?! I'll beat their ass.

From: Armin

I'm so sorry that was my friend Eren who texted that.

To: Armin

It's fine lol. Tell Eren I say hi, and I'll have to meet him sometime.

From: Armin

Eren says hi, and he wants to meet you when you're off bed rest if that's alright. Levi says hi, too.

To: Armin

Who's this Levi ;)))), your boyfriend? And I'd love to meet Eren AND Levi.

From: Armin

Phil! Levi's just a friend. Besides, Levi and Eren totally have something going on.

To: Armin

We'll have to work to get them together then.

From: Armin

We will lmao. Well, I have to go for now. Levi's mad that he spilled his tea or something. Ttyl.

To: Armin

Alright then hahah byeeeee.

I laid my phone on the bed and turned on my side to see Dan in the doorway. "Oh my god!" I yelled. "How long have you been standing there?!"

"Only a few minutes." Dan laughed. "I didn't even hear you come in!" I said, slightly annoyed. "That's your problem." Dan smiled, walking up to me. He set his bag down and sat beside me.

"I'll stay beside for the rest of the time you're on bed rest." Dan stated matter-of-factly.

"Thanks bear, I love youuuu" I giggled, rolling over and laying my head in his lap. We eventually fell asleep that way.
