Daniella's Pov
It's been days now since that incident that happened to me. I've been trapped in the bedroom everyday all in the name of resting and that's really furstrating. If not for this phone Javier gave me, I think I would've gone out of my mind by now. Today I've made up my mind to step out of this personal prison. After braiding my hair in a French braid, I made my way out of my room.
The hallway's empty as usual. I made my way through it and down the stairs. I could see some house keepers walking all over the place doing their chores. I made my way to the dinning area which is close to the kitchen, there I sighted Natalia sitting at the dinning all dressed in her school uniform while Penelope served her breakfast.
"Mama!" Natalia half yelled in excitement when she noticed my presence, getting the attention of Penelope.
"Dani dear, why are you down here? I was about bringing breakfast to you once I was done serving Natalia." Penelope had a worried look in her eyes.
"I was getting really tired of staying in that room everyday, it's not like I was severely injured or anything." I said with a shrug and a small smile.
"But the doctor adviced bed rest…"
"...and that I have gotten plenty of that. Please Penelope, I'll die of boredom if I stay one more day in that room." I pouted.
"Alright, fine. Take a seat let me serve you breakfast." She said, making me grin like a child.
I took my seat beside Natalia who was giving me a cute smile.
"Are you alright now?" She asked.
"Yes my princess." I said, caressing her hair that was pulled back in a ponytail.
"So can we go to the garden as usual?" She asked and I nodded to it.
She threw her hands in the air and yelled out of excitement, making me chuckle.
"Now quiet down and finish your meal or you'll be late for school." Penelope told Natalia while serving me my meal.
Natalia focused on her food. When Penelope was done serving my food, she went back into the kitchen and came out with a tray containing a bowl of biscuits and ceramic teapot.
"Who are those for?" I asked, curious.
"They are for Javier. These days he barely has breakfast here, he usually has it in his study. He barely comes out of his study - That man buries himself in work these days." Penelope said, sounding worried for him.
I haven't even seen him since that day he gave me a phone, I was upset he never came to check up on me to know how I was doing. Not that I wanted him to, but, I'd hoped he would since he acted all nice to me when he gave me that phone. But now I get it, he's been so busy with work and I was accusing him for nothing. I should be the one to check up him because if he hasn't stepped out of his study in days, he must be stressed out from work.
"Wait." I said to Penelope who was about turning to leave.
I stood up and went up to her. "Let me deliver this to him." I offered, not knowing why though. I just feel like it's the right thing to do.
"No dear, I can manage."
"Please nanny Penelope, let me give this to him." I pleaded with a pout.
"Alright dear. But please make sure he takes them because he has a habit of not touching any of his meals." She said, making me frown at that.
Why isn't he eating?
