ADVIKA'S POV

"Open the door,"

I heard my mother's voice; she was shouting from outside the door. I straightened myself, sitting in my place, and I gulped my saliva. I didn't imagine her this time she never came this time.

I immediately got off my bed and turned my head towards the door that was continuously knocking on hers.

"Sam I'll call you later. Bye,"

I muttered, trying to sound low, and I quickly cut the call without waiting for his reply. I know my secrets are making my life more different, but still, I only have to wait for the weekend..

I can share everything with Sam. I took a deep breath while closing my eyes for a second to relax my mind and was scared to death.

If anyone knew about that, they were surely going to kill me without even being hesitant.

"Open the door, Advika,"

She shouted again and banged on the door from outside. I freaked out she's going to make my life a living hell.

I gulped my saliva, my whole body started trembling and shivering, my mind got blurred right now, and I can't use my brain.

I couldn't think properly, and with my shivering finger, I tried to delete my call history; that was the only thing that could save me from the upcoming tsunami.

"Advika, this is the last warning I gave. Open the door otherwise, I'm going to call your father. Do you want me to do that or do you open the door?"

Again banging sound with my mother last warning, and I was numb. If my father knew about this, he surely was going to kill me right at this moment.

I took the last option, switched off my phone, and threw it in bed. I got out of bed, and with a trembling leg, I started taking a little step towards the door.

I forward my sweating palm, and I open the door. I inhale deeply, trying to calm my nervousness.

"Yes, what's happened?"

I managed to ask her, with my gaze fixed on her frustrated face. I tried to look normal as much as possible.

"What have you been doing for so long? What takes you that much time to open the door?"

She questioned me, furrowing her eyebrows. I tried to keep my expression normal so that she didn't get the idea of my nervousness her sharp, piercing gaze never left my face. She started moving inside the room, and I stepped aside so that she could enter.

I started following her, and with each step, my nervousness got higher. Her changing behaviour made me more worried.

"M-Maa, nothing actually, I was in the bathroom, so that's why I didn't hear the knock,"

I tried to say while shuttering with my words as I kept moving my gaze everywhere except her eyes.

"Mmm? You are not lying to me, are you?"

She questioned me sternly. I gulped nervously while her thinned brows made me shiver. She slowly sat on the bed, and I kept standing in front of her.

"Maa, what are they saying?"

I tried to make her believe my word. I tried my best to stay calm and think properly before answering her.

I met her gaze with full confidence this time, because that was the only thing I could do.

"Mm, okay, then give me your phone,"

She muttered, making me gasp. My eyes got widening with her sudden demand, and she pushed her palm forward in front of me, looking deeply into my eyes.

"Give me your phone, Advika,"

My thoughts broke with her voice. It takes time to proceed with my brain I don't know what she got to know about him.

No, no, I couldn't think about anything because right now I'm completely blank.

"Advika, did you hear me, Advika?"

She said this, waving her palm in front of my face. I didn't know when she stood straight in front of me. She lightly shook my arm with thinned brows.

"M-Maa but?"

I managed to say something, but I stopped as nothing came into my mind right now. She pressed her lips, showing her bubbling anger inside her.

I shifted my gaze to the floor, as I didn't have the courage to look into her eyes. She quickly cut me off with her words.

"What, but? She asked in a serious voice while tightly holding my arms, making me hiss in pain. There is nothing to keep secret now.

I walked towards the bed, picked out my phone under the pillow, and gave her my phone.

"It's very late you have to go to bed because tomorrow you have to go to college, right?"

She said in a soft voice with a warm smile, Who can believe she is the same person who was digging her nails in my arm a few minutes ago?

She again forwarded her palm and placed it on my cheek. She lightly caressed my cheeks, making me completely shocked.

"Maa, but I need my phone,"

I said with panic as she gave me her most dangerous smile. I tried to convince her with my word, but I don't think that it's working. Seeing her change her face expression, I gulped.

"Actually, I feel like you had really good screen time, and I thought, I have to keep your phone with me so that you'll get better sleep,"

She said it in a serious voice, but with a tight  smile on her face, I lowered my gaze.

Before leaving, she patted my shoulder, and without saying anything, she left. I exhaled deeply and fixed my gaze on the open door of the room.

I closed my eyes, leaned backward, and dropped my weight on the mattresses. I took a deep breath.

I heard the door opening sound but didn't open my eyes. I know it was Dhriti.

"Di, did Badi Maa come here?" She asked, lying down next to me. I couldn't talk about anything now.

I hummed in response while still keeping my eyes closed.

"What is she doing here?"

She questioned me, hoping for an answer. I opened my eyes and turned my face towards her. She looked at me from the side of her shoulder.

"She took my phone with her," I uttered in a low voice with a flat expression, looking at her.

"What?" She shouted, and with a snap, she sat on the bed. I inhaled deeply.

"Why?" she added.

"Did she get to know about your relationship?" She muttered while looking at me, desperately waiting for an answer.

"No, she didn't know about the relationship, but maybe she got the hint that's why? She took my phone now I don't know what to do," I replied, blankly looking at her changing expression.

"You have to talk with Bhaiya about all this until it's too late I feel that something is not right, di?"

She uttered, and she made her eyebrows look thinner. Maybe she's correct, but I also have the same feeling that something is about to go wrong.

"I told him that. I want to tell him something about me this weekend, and I know he understands everything wisely without judging me for hiding my secrets," I said while staring at the ceiling fan.

"But di, if they get the hint, I don't think so, they'll let you go outside of the house,"

She muttered with sad expressions, crossing her legs and sitting properly on the bed.

"We'll know about that by tomorrow for now, sleep ladoo, it's too late,"

I said, pulling the comforter over me and turning towards the side table. Then, I switched off the lights.

"But di?"

She attempted to speak as she gently placed her hand around my waist from behind.

"Ladoo, sleep we will see tomorrow," I mumbled softly as I closed my eyelids.

After a while, her breathing started to slow down, and she fell asleep. But I couldn't sleep at all. I kept thinking about what would happen in my life after going through so many terrible days.

I still feel trapped and suffocated, and the only source of hope left in my life is Sam. After a couple of hours, I finally managed to fall asleep, but only after overthinking everything.

At about 7 in the morning, a beam of sunshine came through the window and landed on my face. I woke up and rubbed my eyes, then turned my head to see Dhriti sleeping with a baby.

Seeing her made me smile, so I gently stroked her head before heading to the bathroom.

After a while, I stepped out, feeling refreshed. I stood in front of the mirror wearing a white kurti set. I gently dried my hair with a towel and applied some moisturiser and lip balm.

I added a small bindi and left my hair down. I put the dupatta on my shoulder and grabbed my college bag.

As I went downstairs, I woke up Dhriti, who seemed to have forgotten that she also had to go to college.

I walked downstairs, carefully making my way to the front door of the house without paying attention to anyone who was busy eating their breakfast. Just as I was about to leave the house, a voice caught my attention.

"You are not going anywhere, Advika,"
