SAMRAT'S POV

"Mere bacche....."

("My son,") This voice stopped me from taking another step. I turned my head and looked at my cute grandmother, who was coming to me with the help of a wooden stick and her slow steps.

She must be here for the evening walk suggested by the doctor because of her age, her voice became a little shaky.

"Dadi," I called her with a genuine smile. Bending over, I touched her feet and took her blessing. She placed her hand on my head, lightly caressing it. I smiled.

"How are you feeling, Dadi?" I asked, forwarding my right arm to support her, and we started talking while moving to the main door of the mansion.

"Mai bilkul thik hu, mujhe kya hona hai."

("I'm totally fine what do I have to be?") She said, making a pout on her lips. Looking at her, I can't hide my smile.

"By the way, where are you all these days? I feel worried about you. Next time, be responsible and at least inform someone where you are going, Samrat,"

She said, but this time with a serious tone, that her care and love can't be hidden behind her serious tone.

"I informed Pratham Dadi that I'm going to the farmhouse for some days and return after a week, but next time I will inform you so that you will support me by my beloved mother,"

I said dramatically that, usually, I never joke around or talk playfully, but only two persons hold the power to change this dominated Samrat to a playful Samrat: my grandmother and my Avni.

"Maa ke dar se Dadi ki yaad aati hai warna toh,"

("Afraid by your mother that makes you remember grandmother otherwise,") She finished giving a side eye, and she pouted her lips. That makes me chuckle.

She chuckled too, looking at me. We went inside the living area it's huge after all it is Thakur's mansion. Making her settle on a huge sofa, I moved to sit beside her.

Within seconds,  a servant came with two glasses of water, which I took and drank in one go, and Dadi also took and drank while looking here and there, my eyebrows knit in line with confusion.

"What are you looking at?" I couldn't resist asking this. She looked at them upstairs, looking like she's waiting for someone.

"Your mother," She uttered with a blank face, like she was hiding something from this blank face of hers.

"Is there something you wisely hide from me?" I uttered, she looked at me, and I paused.

"You and her definitely plan something against me. I can feel that. I expected this from Maa, but you, Dadi, I can't express myself how hurtful this act was. I'm never going to talk to you again,"

I added with sarcasm I just wanted to tease her more and more.

"No, my son, don't say like that. I'm not planning anything. Your mother told me to convince you to get married as soon as possible; you are already 30 years old. I also feel like you should get married. We will arrange a meeting for you to get to know your future partner,"

She completed it hurriedly, like if she gets late, then I will misunderstand her, but I know this topic is the most important one here they do not care about anything except my marriage, but before I say something.

"Maa, you make my plan wasted; now he will make a puppy face, and you end up telling him everything without remembering our deal,"

My mother said it furiously while taking a hurried step towards us.
