56. You are free my love~

SAMRAT'S POV

"I need divorce," She murmured with a deep breath. There is no way to get away from me. I couldn't control myself and burst out laughing.
 
She will never get out of my world. I don't want to show her my madness she will definitely leave me after that.
 
"Stop it. I said stop it. I think it'll be better for us to get separated and live our lives. I don't want to stay with a cheater,"

She blurted out without thinking twice some of her words were real, but getting separated was the worst.
 
I slightly opened my eyes and saw she was glaring at me with so much intensity. I looked here and there to calm myself.
 
"A good girl like you never talks about this dirty thing, sweetheart," I replied calmly without any expression. She blankly stared at me.
 
"I'm not saying anything wrong I said what I wanted,"

She shouted loudly, making me glare at her with my sharp gaze. She immediately shut down her mouth.
 
"Avni, come here," I muttered softly, but she shook her head and turned around. I know she can't leave me.
 
"Can't you leave this underworld business?"

She suddenly whispered, making my heart flutter. I already know this will come one day, but it's true, I can't leave my underworld.
 
"You can enter according to your choice, but you can't leave if you want, Avni. Trust me, I'll make everything better. Just forgive me for once," I said, holding her hand tightly.
 
"Then we can't stay together,"

She said, about to step forward. When I immediately hugged her tightly, I closed my eyes and inhaled her fragrance.
 
But I can feel some movement in the surroundings. I didn't choose security because I didn't want to ruin the moment. I know today things have completely changed between us.
 
But I only fear facing them with Avni they will definitely target her, and I can't let this happen. Suddenly,  a flash light hit my gaze. 
 
"Let's go," I breathed near her ear she shivered, and I slowly opened my eyes to look around me.
 
I can hear the faded sound of something. I tightened my grip around her waist and lifted her, and she gasped.
 
"What are you doing?" She asked, looking around, and wrapped her arms around my neck.
 
"Don't ask me anything before we reach our car, okay?"

I said sternly because right now, my one mistake has cost her life even more than that; I can't even let her see me.
 
Before I could move even a step further, so many men started coming out from the branches, wearing maroon clothes.
 
I looked around there were like almost 40 men present. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before looking towards Avni.

She was shivering while I fisted my blazer tightly in her hand. Sensing my gaze, I slowly put her down.
 
As a man approached them, he kept his hands in his pockets. I quickly turned to Avni and pulled her close to me, embracing her tightly. She held onto my shirt tightly, her fist clenched. I could feel her trembling with fear.
 
I slowly lifted my head and saw him. He was wearing a black three-piece suit with a long overcoat.
 
He removed his black goggles, and finally I can see his face. He is none other than the younger brother of Abhay Pratap Rathore, Virat Pratap Rathore.
 
I shut my eyes tightly and inhaled deeply, realising the grave error I had made. Avni should not bear the consequences of my actions I am well aware that he would not hesitate to harm her in any way.
 
"You have a beautiful wife, Samrat Singh Thakur, aka Sartaj. Wait, did she know how much power you hold in the underworld and know as Sartaj?"

He muttered with a disgusting smirk playing on his face. I fisted my hand and gritted my teeth.
 
"It's better if we talk some other day, Virat,"

I know why they are here, but still, when I tried to convince him to let us go, he started laughing, as I had already thought.
 
I signed and slowly took a step backwards. There is no way to fight with them with Avni if I focus on them and someone attacks her.
 
I know how they treat women, and especially when it comes to their enemies women. I never did this or taught anyone, but obviously they learned that from me.
 
"Actually, I don't want to talk to you I want your wife just for you," He was about to say that, but he could not complete his sentence.
