The next morning dawned with the promise of a routine day for Furie. She awoke to the soft rays of sunlight streaming through her bedroom window, casting a warm glow on the walls adorned with framed memories. Tomy greeted her with a wagging tail and eager eyes, setting the tone for a day that felt both ordinary and filled with untold possibilities. After a simple breakfast, Furie made her way to the coffee shop where she worked. The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans enveloped her as she entered, and the comforting hum of conversations and the gentle whir of the espresso machine greeted her. She loved this place and felt like it was her second home.

The regular patrons of the small town filed in, their familiar faces adding a sense of community to the bustling café. Furie, behind the counter, expertly brewed coffees and served pastries with a friendly smile. The mundane tasks of the day unfolded, momentarily easing her mind from the magical encounters of the night before. As the morning sun climbed higher in the sky, the bell above the door jingled, announcing the arrival of a new customer.

The stranger who entered, however, immediately caught Furie's attention. She was a woman with an air of mystery, her intense brown eyes holding a touch of red that seemed to burn like embers beneath the surface. Furie couldn't help but feel a strange unease as the woman approached the counter. Something about those penetrating eyes seemed to delve beyond the surface, as if searching for something hidden within Furie's soul.

The stranger ordered a coffee, her gaze never leaving Furie's face. Furie, feeling a mixture of curiosity and discomfort, prepared the drink and handed it over. The woman barely touched the cup, her eyes fixed on Furie with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine. Attempting to break the silence, Furie mustered a friendly smile. "Is everything alright with your coffee? Anything I can do for you?"

The stranger's lips curled into a cryptic smile, and just as she was about to speak, Furie absentmindedly touched the necklace around her neck. The small pendant, given to her by Leaf, dangled from the delicate chain. As her fingers brushed against the green gem on it, a subtle hum of magic resonated through her. The effect on the mysterious customer was immediate and unexpected. The woman's eyes widened in horror, a look of fear flashing across her face. Without uttering a word, she abruptly stood, leaving the untouched coffee on the counter, and briskly walked away, disappearing into the busy streets of the town.

Furie, bewildered by the sudden turn of events, clutched the pendant around her neck, her mind buzzing with questions. What power lay within this seemingly simple necklace, and why did it evoke such a visceral reaction from the stranger with the intense amber eyes?

As the day continued, Furie couldn't shake the encounter from her thoughts. The necklace, a gift from Leaf, seemed to hold a secret of its own, an ancient magic entwined with the guardian who had entered her life.
