Your rational thinking brain, the side in which was guided by logic and reason, knew that this was a bad idea, that nothing good could come from it, but as Jin's hopeful expression faces forward, a hint of desperation lingering in his stare, you knew that you couldn't easily leave him alone.

There was some selfishness lingering in your actions to go with Jin. The desire to love him freely seemed to outweigh your voice of reason, so that was that. A decision had been made. And if you were slightly honest with yourself, you felt like this decision was inevitable. The grudge in which your family had against Jin's family seemed to be eclipsed by the love you felt for Jin.

To avoid being tracked by his parents, Jin leaves his car parked near the highway. You both opt to take a bus to whatever destination Jin had planned out. Apparently, this escape wasn't some impulsive act, at least for him. The plan was to head in the direction of the coast, where a friend of his is allowing him to stay until you both figure out your next step in life.

It took some time, most of the night if you were being honest, before the bus drove upon a small coastal town. It was far removed from the city, something that both excited you and implemented some fear because no, you've never done something like this before. You understand that running away is some unspoken sin that a child can do to their parents, but when said parents are being unreasonable and providing vague explanations to their strict rules, wouldn't that make the child feel trapped, searching for some way to escape?

Jin's gentle squeeze to your hand forces you back into the moment as he murmurs, "You doing okay?"

You offer a slight nod of your head, gaze facing forward because your nerves robbed you of your ability to speak.

"I know this isn't ideal and that you're probably regretting things by now, but I won't hold it against you if you want to go back home." He offers, voice free of judgment and full of gentle warmth.

Your head snaps to meet his gaze. That wasn't the case at all. You didn't regret this decision. You feared what might come of it. Teenagers running away from home will surely stir up some trouble.

There's a soft smile adorning his features, hints of firm resolution lingering in his stare because you understand he doesn't regret this one bit. "At any moment, if you feel uncomfortable or you want to leave, you can tell me. I won't ever judge you for it." He says plainly, voice a soft hum that it almost melts in with the whirring sound of the bus driving through the chill of morning.

"It's nothing like that," You finally say when the initial shock melts away from your throat, releasing the words bubbling there. "I'm worried that we might be in over our heads."

Jin spares a soft chuckle at your words. "I sort of have a plan."

It doesn't fully convince you, but you nod slowly.
