Seokjin stares blankly down at the metal table, hands cuffed through the loop. They were treating him like some violent criminal, but that wasn't the case at all. He tried explaining his side of things, making an effort to clear his name, but, to his dismay, Y/n was reported as kidnapped or a runaway. It did little to paint him as innocent.

"Are you ready to talk, young man?" The detective asks, expression even upon walking into the interrogation room.

"I am if you're willing to listen." Jin replies with an edge in his tone.

"Would it be more beneficial for you to have a legal representative present?" The man asks, sparing Jin with an unamused expression.

Jin mulls over the suggestion. If he says yes, would they think he's guilty, but if he says no, would they try to trick him into admitting to something he's falsely accused of. His mind races between saying 'yes' or 'no' when, suddenly, another detective enters the interrogation room.

"His guardians are here." The younger man informs the detective.

The older of the two scowls. "I thought he was an adult."

"Yes, but he's apparently still in school, sir. And...he's part of the Kim family." The younger detective says with a sigh.

"The Kim family?"

The man nods in response as Jin takes a few steadying breaths. He'd rather be tossed back in his holding cell than go home with his parents. His father was surely going to punish him in ways Jin would rather chance another night in jail.

"The family brought in a lawyer and they're not happy."

The older man sighs. "Right, well, I'll bring the kid out. I doubt they'll like that we cuffed him."

Jin's stomach sinks further. He's certain the news has spread throughout his side of town. It's not often a member of the Kim family is handcuffed and brought into custody. Even his more devious family members have never been brought into custody like this. The sinking feeling returns when the detective uncuffs Jin, revealing reddened wrists from where it was secured.

Jin isn't too happy about being escorted to his parents. They stood in the waiting room, wearing grim expressions while his father's stare only hardened upon seeing Jin. Fear lodges in his throat when the detective explains the situation again to his parents. There isn't much Jin can do aside from standing there, awkwardly rubbing over the reddened marks on his wrists. He worries about what'll come of Y/n and her situation. Last he saw, she had fainted, prompting the authorities to call for emergency services. He was hauled off into the back of the police car when she was being carted into an ambulance, his worries only escalating as he was being driven away from her.
