Song of the Chapter

Late in the night, the city's asleep
Your love is a secret I'm hoping, dreaming, dying to keep
Change my priorities
The taste of your lips is my idea of luxury

Salute to me I'm your American Queen
And you move to me like I'm a Motown beat
And we rule the kingdom inside my room
'Cause all the boys and their expensive cars
With their Range Rovers and their Jaguars
Never took me quite where you do

Rose's Point of View

I stepped out of the car with Dimitri's help. My eyes immediately landed on Japanese-styled restaurant. It was magical and made me think twice about everything. The amount of times I had asked myself if this was dream was countless. There were cherry blossom trees everywhere and it was incredibly romantic.

"One of the most beautiful restaurants here," Dimitri said, giving me a quick smile. I returned his smile and he offered his arm to me. I took his arm and we walked into the restaurant together. They were a lot of people, but everything was so well-organized and very spacious. I was a little nervous from all the stares Dimitri and I were receiving. Dimitri, on the other hand, seemed fine and casual. He was used to attention after all. What was I expecting? This was Dimitri Belikov we were talking about!

The waiter guided us to a table and Dimitri pulled out the chair for me. I blushed because it was the first time that someone was actually treating me like a lady. My heart was beating so hard and loud that I could hear it. The waiter gave us our menus and Dimitri ordered his. I read the menu and frowned at the names on it. It was written in Japanese and English. I was really hoping that there were pictures, but to my disappointment, there weren't any.

"Do you have an idea of what you want to have?" Dimitri asked.

I pushed the menu down from my face and sheepishly said, "I don't understand anything on the menu."Then realization hit Dimitri and he quickly threw an apologetic look my way. This was going to be my first time having Japanese food. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not, but it was worth a try.

"Um....the miso soup is really good," he said, looking at me.

I gave him a weak smile and asked, "What is it?"

"It's hard to explain. I have never seen them make it though, but it tastes good. Do you want to try?"

"Yeah, sure. Why not? Is it spicy?" I asked. When I was a little girl, I accidentally had a spoonful of Tabasco sauce, stupidly thinking that it was ketchup. Ever since that event, I never had much luck with spicy food.

He shook his head and said, "No, it's not spicy." I nodded in approval.

Dimitri looked at the waiter and said, "She'll have a miso soup and premium sushi." I didn't know what those things were, but trusted Dimitri knew what he was doing. The waiter left and I let the silence fall on us. I looked at my surroundings and many people were looking at our table. I caught a man staring and I quickly looked away.
