Tom opened my door for me with an abandoned carnival in front of us. It was so beautiful and still in good condition.
" you want to go explore it?"

" yea." I took toms hand and we ran and laughed all throughout the entire carnival. " this is my favorite."

We walked into a booth that had all of the funky mirrors inside of it. " look tom im taller than you!"

" don't get use to it" I took in the moment as long as I could. We went to the other mirrors laughing at our funny appearances.

Tom took my hand and we went to the thing where you hit it with a mallet. Tom tried it and hit the bell on the first try.

" congratulations mr. You win a large stiffed animal." I pretended to hold an imaginary stuffed animal and handed it to Tom.

" thank you kind lady I think I'll give it to the most gorgeous girl here." Tom pretended to hand it back to me.

" you think im the prettiest here?"

" you're the only one here"

" well Gee that makes me feel special."

" I didn't mean it like that! Im so sorry. You're the most amazing and beautiful girl I've ever met Presley. Please don't be mad at me."

" Tom im messing with you calm down its ok" I gave him a comforting smile letting him know everything was ok.

" I told you id mess something up."

" you messed nothing up Tom don't stress just have fun."

I took Tom in my arms and gave him a comforting hug to let him know he was perfectly ok. " come on I want to show you my favorite thing here."

I took toms hand as he walked me to the Ferris wheel. " does it still work?"

" bill and I have this figured out we have done this several times."

Tom let go of my hand and sat down in a seat. " come on you're with me. I won't let anything happen to you."

I got in the seat next to him a little skeptical but trusting him. Tom pushed kn the beans a good bit and we were almost at the top.

" how do we get down?"

" we don't we are stuck now."

I started to get scared because I cant get stuck up here I'll have a panic attack or something. I looked at Tom and he could see my concern.

" im just kidding I can het us down the exact way we came up you'll be ok I promise."

I finally relaxed and looked out beyond the wheel. You could see the lights from all around the city. " its amazing isn't it?"

" its so pretty."

" it really is." But Tom wasn't looking at what I was instead he was looking at me. I leaned in and put my lips onto his. His lips were warm and comforting. I felt safe when I was around him.

" thank you for taking a chance on a broken girl like me."

" I would take all of the chances if it meant I was with you in the end."

He had a way with words that most people our age did not. I guess that was one of the things that really drew me to him.

" I know you just got out of a relationship but I would really like."

I cut him off by placing my lips on top of his. " yes"

" really? You'll be my girlfriend?"

" yes Tom. You've proven yourself to me. I am putting all of my trust into you."

" you do not know how much this means to me."

" I think I have an understanding because I feel the same way Tom. No one has ever made me feel the way you do. No one has helped me see the positives that life has to offer."

" I promise to never let you down and if I accident Do tell me I'll work on it. Im new to all of this."

" so am I."

As we sat in our little seat I rested my head on toms shoulder taking in this moment. This was one of the moments in life that people talk about never forgetting. I will forever have this memory etched into my brain.

While looking up st the sky I felt a drop of rain hit me. " Tom its beginning to rain."

Tom pushed down on the beam and got us back kn the ground. Once we got to where the car was it began to pour rain. Tom opened his door up getting in but I stood in the rain.

" Presley come on its pouring."

" I want to make another memory Tom."

" what do you mean."

Tom came and stood next to me looking at me. I turned to face him and grabbed the front of his shirt. I firmly placed my lips on his. I had always wanted to experience a kiss in the rain. It was better than I had ever imagined.

Tom ram his tongue against my bottom lip asking for entrance which I allowed. We made out in the rain for I don't even know how long. This wasn't something you timed you Just embraced the moment.

After a while we needed to breath so we pulled away. " if this is what making memories with you is like I want to do them all the time."

" we cam make another tonight if you'd like."

" wouldn't that be to soon. I want you to be ready not because I want it."

" I've never been more sure about anything else."

Tom grabbed a blanket and placed it in the back seat. I got in and closed the door and we made one final memory of the night.

Was it to soon? To some maybe but when you feel ready you know and I knew. This isn't something you plan.
