- Bloodshed Report -

- Number of students: 350 ----> 322

- Number of faculty & staff: 25 ----> 25
====================================

The students stared at the report. Two desks in the classroom were now empty, one once belonging to a student named Kate, and the other being the student Jason shot.

Jason folded the paper and put it in his bag. Nobody in class was really in the mood to talk, even though the next Bloodshed would be in a month.

Rennard walked into the classroom, saw that Kate's desk was empty, and laughed.

"What's so funny?" asked Allegra, a student at the front of the class.

"Looks like bad things come to those who don't listen!" laughed Rennard. "Wouldn't you agree, Wrenchworth?"

"What are you even talking about?" she glared.

"I asked her out before," said Rennard. "Poor girl looked terrified. So terified, in fact, that she had the quick reaction to say no!"

"She was so easy to kill," sneered one of Rennard's goons. He licked his lips, drooling at the thought.

"Why are you like this?" snapped Allegra.

"Why do you care?" grinned Rennard. "You should stay out of it, or next Bloodshed, you'll find yourself flying off the school roof!"

His goons exchanged high-fives before sitting down. Rennard stopped at Jason's desk and leaned over him.

"You are one lucky bastard," Rennard hissed.

"I know," Jason whispered back.

Rennard smacked Jason upside the head and went to his desk.

Jason looked around for the blue-haired girl. Hopefully she didn't die, he thought. He peered out of the classroom. The hallways were starting to empty, with no hint of blue hair anywhere.

Jason sighed. Mr. Sien teleported in shortly after.

STAFF FILES: Mr. Stanton Sien

- Teacher for first-year students
- Asfalís staff since 2443

"Sorry, class," he set his bag down inside his bulletproof box. "My phone took a while to charge, but here I am."

He looked at the empty desks. "No Kate or Paul?" He opened his computer, typed something, hit enter, and his eyes blinked into a more serious look.

"Oh."

Mr. Sien realized that half the class was clearly upset. He put away a textbook he was planning on using and sat down on his desk.

"One thing I hate about teaching here is that we can never safely have a good relationship with someone," he said, looking up emotionlessly. "You're always worried whether or not someone will betray you, or try to kill you."

He rolled up his sleeve, revealing a wound the size of a bullet. The class gasped.

"Then again, the same could be said about the real world. If I'm being honest, I'd be dead by now if I didn't have this job."

Mr. Sien looked at the ground, then at his wedding ring. He clenched a fist, then turned abruptly to face the board.

"Anyhoo, let's go onto some history!" He pressed a button on his desk, projecting a hologram of a phone. "This was the early design of a phone. Over 400 years ago, too!"

"Looks the same to me," said Jason.

"That's where you're mistaken!" exclaimed Mr. Sien. "Fast-forward a couple years, and....!"

The phone now had four cameras on its backside.

"Four?!" exclaimed Allegra. "That's like, way too many."

"For real," said Rose.

STUDENT FILES: Rose Davidson

- Gymnastics five-time state champion
- Has trust issues
- Hates men
====================================

Rose chewed a piece of gum aggressively, somehwo directing the anger at Mr. Sien, who smiled at her in response.

Rose looked disgusted.

"Anyway," said Mr. Sien. "That's not what the lecture's about, obviously."

Mr. Sien started rambling about Mesopotamia and early civilizations. Jason scribbled down notes, while Rennard made paper airplanes to throw at people. He folded a perfect one, impressing his goons.

He aimed it at Jason, and it hit him in the back of the neck. Several students snickered quietly.

It's gonna be a long class, thought Jason.
