I look down at my wrist littered with scars and fresh cuts oozing blood. I put the blade down next to me. I slowly stand up. Below me, traffic moves at the speed of light. This is it. 1 more step and it's all over. I take a deep slow breath. The sound of the traffic below slowly muffles. 1 step and I'm done. 1 step and everything will stop. I take the final step. Everything slows down like I'm falling in slow motion. I'm impatiently waiting for my body to make contact with the floor as I fall. I hear a scream. No surprise. It's not every day you see someone jump off of a building.

THUD.

A body collides with the ground—blood splatters everywhere on the ground on the building on passers-by. Everywhere.

"Ah — you're awake. We thought you'd be out for a few more days."
