Sometimes moving forward wasn't easy.

The shadows of the past kept coming back to you,and every time you think you have finally emerged from it,they chain you again. One day you felt good and thought you could improve, the next it was as if nothing had changed and you forced yourself to seek happiness in the little things. It was a vicious circle that never ended,he still had to see the distant light of liberation....if there was one.

Changing one's life, from an environment that was previously completely toxic and unbreathable to the complete opposite with joy and smiles, wasn't simple. Even though he had managed to get rid of his abusive ex-husband and start a new life with his new partners,at times he still felt as if nothing had ever changed.
As if Schlatt's oppressive and limiting presence were still there with him, continuing to influence–manipulate him.
It wasn't pretty.

He knew he needed time to heal, his therapist had told him so and the doctors even mentioned it during their monthly check-up,but...but sometimes it was like he can't get results.

He walked on eggshells every day of his life, waiting to be yelled at or even hit for the slightest mistake he made. He was always nervous and insecure every time he talked, not wanting to upset either of his boyfriends with what he said, his voice was always low and weak...

The only positive thing that he had managed to improve was his body weight,he was no longer a stick like it used to be,but he had gained good muscle mass and had reached normal weight. It had taken some time –almost half a year,if not more– but at least there was some positive feedback. The doctors also congratulated him on his progress.
