Teri ankhon ki sahulat ho muyasir jis ko

Vo bhala chand sitaron ko kahan daihken ga

Ishq ho, or ishq bhi tere jaisa

Phir koi dil ke khasaron ko kaha dekhen ga

Guided by a mix of curiosity and excitement, he moved towards the other bag, his hands reaching for the slightly larger, square-shaped beige box. The weight of anticipation hung in the air as Meerab watched him with equal interest, her eyes reflecting a shared sense of curiosity.

Holding the box with care, Murtasim retrieved it, and the moment he removed the lid, his eyes widened in sheer astonishment. The contents inside were not what he expected— something beyond the realm of a typical gift. His breath caught in his throat as he stared, momentarily forgetting the world around him.

Meerab carefully scanned his face, attempting to decipher the emotions that played across his features but he stood like a statue, his eyes transfixed on whatever lay inside.

Meerab felt time slow down as she gauged his expressions, anxiety growing inside of her as she thought that he may have not liked the gift as she had initially thought.

As Murtasim's eyes fell upon the contents within, a sudden stillness overcame him. His body went rigid, and his eyes seemed to lock onto the mysterious gift. A mixture of emotions played across his face – surprise, curiosity, perhaps even a hint of disbelief.

Meerab, standing at a slight distance, felt a pang of anxiety.

Did he like it?

Was it not what he expected?

As her worry intensified, she decided to bridge the gap between them, both physically and emotionally. Slowly, extending her hand she placed it gently on Murtasim's shoulder, a comforting touch intended to break the enchantment that held him captive.

Under the warmth of her touch, his gaze momentarily shifted from the box to Meerab's eyes. There, in that fleeting connection, a silent exchange unfolded – a mixture of reassurance and curiosity. However, as quickly as their eyes met, Murtasim's attention was irresistibly drawn back to the open box in his hands.

His eyes, now rekindled with the same intensity that had gripped him moments ago, fixated again on the contents. It was as though the allure of the gift pulled him back into its mystery. The air felt thick with tension, and the weight of the situation pressed upon him as he struggled to find the right words.

The innocent white onesie with the words "Hello Daddy" written on it felt like a message from another world, shaking his reality.
