They were on their way to the hospital already running late for their appointment. The morning had started with chaos at the breakfast table with everyone running late because of the previous night's fatigue. When they had joined the elders, Maa Begum and Anila were deeply engrossed in discussing the dawat with Anwar taking part every now and then.

Amidst the buzz of the breakfast table, Murtasim wore a constant smile on his face earning mysterious looks from all the elders occasionally as he enjoyed his meal. Salma begum had been eyesing her son casually so intrigued by his playful demeanor at this hour, she could not stop herself from asking, "Kya bat hai Murtasim, aise muskra kyun rahe ho".

He looked up from his plate, surprised by the attention diverted at him.Now everyone's gaze was fixed on him whereas he earned a glare from Meerab. It was too early to share this news with anyone without confirming it from a professional. She just wanted to be sure and here her husband was on the verge of sharing this news everyone.

She knew it was hard for him to hold this exciting news. He wanted to scream and tell the whole world that he was going to be a father.

"Kuch nahi Maa Sahab, vaise hi", Murtasim dismissed his mother non chalantly without providing any concrete answers leaving everyone at the table baffled.

He mouthed a sorry when his gaze met with Meerab's who was casually playing around the fruit in her plate with the fork.

She wanted to tell everyone, especially Anila. She knew Maa Begum and Anwar Khan would be also be over the moon at such news. They had waited long enough.

Last time, the fake pregnancy had built up the hopes of everyone in the house so she wanted to be extra careful this time, not wanting to break their heart. They just wanted to ensure that everything was okay so, once they were done with their breakfast, they took leave without telling anyone about their whereabouts.

Meerab and Murtasim's car glided to a smooth halt in front of the grand entrance of the finest and most elite hospital in Hyderabad, under the prestigious care of the Khan family. The exterior exuded opulence, with manicured gardens and a facade that spoke of modernity and sophistication. The valet swiftly took charge of the car as the couple stepped out, Murtasim maintaining a constant, reassuring hold on Meerab's cold left hand.

The hospital staff, dressed impeccably in uniforms that mirrored the establishment's reputation, approached them with a combination of efficiency and courtesy. A receptionist, a young woman with her hair in a sleek bun and professional smile recognized the couple and greeted them warmly, guiding them through the labyrinthine corridors of the hospital, leading them to the private wing reserved for them.

Upon reaching the doctor's floor, a nurse escorted Meerab and Murtasim towards the door bearing the nameplate of the renowned gynecologist, Dr. Fariha Chaudry. Murtasim's grip on Meerab's hand remained steadfast, a silent source of support during this critical moment.

The door swung open, revealing a tastefully decorated and well-lit room. Dr. Fariha Khan, a middle-aged woman with an air of authority and warmth, welcomed them with a genuine smile. Dressed in a professional yet approachable manner, she exuded confidence that immediately put Meerab at ease. The room was adorned with medical degrees and certificates, a testament to Dr. Fariha's expertise.
