March 27th
Everyone knows I'm pregnant. The adults are surprisingly taking it well. They have been really nice to me. But the teenagers are still being as cruel as ever. I'm never going to live this down. I walked in the court again.
Scott and Ethan walked in. Scott looked at me and winked at me. I almost threw up from that action. I averted my eyes somewhere else. I found Tessa behind me a few rows back. My phone vibrated telling me I got a text.
Tessa: Do I need to kill Scott and Ethan for you?
Me: No it's okay. I'll be fine. I think.
Tessa: I wish I could seat by you and hold your hand.
Me: Me too.
"Get off of your phone." My mother scolded me.
I obeyed and tucked my phone in my skirts pocket. I averted my eyes to the judge. He began the trial. Everyone immediately went silent.
"Jury." The judge spoke.
One person stood up and cleared their throat. His eyes went to mine, with pity before being averted to the judge.
"The jury has came to an agreement that the two defendants are guilty."
I contained myself because it was just the jury. The judge will make the final decision. After hearing why the jury picked guilty for a few minutes the man sat make down.
"By the Justice system of the town De Cortez and myself, hereby find Scott Martinez and Ethan Lopez guilty for repeated rape, battery and impregnating Avaline Fae. Both are sentence to capital punishment. They will be held in the county jail until their execution." The judge ended the trial.
I jumped in relief and happiness. My parents pulled me in a warm loving embrace and kissed my forehead. People came over and congratulate me. I had happy tears down my face and a huge smile that reached both of my ears. I looked around the room trying to found Tessa but something else caught my eye.
Scott and Ethan were being taken away by a guard. Their eyes met mine.
"Ava, baby. We own you, we will get you back." Scott shouted to me. He winked at me. Ethan did the same and said, "We love you!" And laughed with so much malice. The guard dragged them away and the door shut behind them.
I suddenly felt nausea and dizzy. My vision was getting darker. I swayed a little before I blacked out completely.
