Chapter 3

March 3rd

Being in the hospital was the worse. None of the nurses or doctors and the police didn't let me see Tessa when I asked to see her. I spent talking to Officer Gomez for a few hours. I've known him my whole life. He was nice to me. Like most adults are in this town. It's just the kids here that are cruel.

I was told that they only found Scott and Ethan. Alex and Caleb were still out there waiting for me. I was happy to know that the two guys that actually raped me were caught. But the strange thing was that the police found them with their throats slash wide open and speaking nonsense.

It must have been my angel that done it. She was the only person I saw in the woods besides the guys. She saved my life. If she wasn't there in that moment I think I would have died.

I need to find her. She doesn't look like she is in school and I haven't seen her around in town. Was she even real?

With that thought in mind I snuggle into my pillow and closed my eyes. Instead of bliss darkness I landed into a nightmare.

I was running in the woods naked. Scott and Ethan were chasing after me. They were taunting me.

"Avie come back. We wanna play with you." I hear Scott say. His voice echo every where.

"Let's play Operation but on a real person. You." Ethan's voice found it's way inside my head. He laughed evilly so loud that I tripped on a tree root. I face planted the ground. I scrambled back on my feet. I had to keep on running.

"Got you." Scott and Ethan whispered together in my head. Their hands grabbed my arms pushing me onto the hard ground. I struggle against their hold.

"No!!!!!!" I screamed.

I bolted upright, awake, with my eyes wide. Fear coursed through my blood stream. I felt cold and afraid.

"Sweetheart it was only a nightmare." Soft hands touched my forehead. I flinched but when I saw who it was, I lean into her comfort.

"Momma I'm never going to be the same." I cried out and wrapped my arms around her waist. She held me close to her.

"There, there, my sweet child. We are going to get justice for what those boys did to you."

"It still doesn't give me back my virginity!" I sobbed out louder and clung to my mother tighter. I was a mess for what seemed like hours but were only maybe twenty minutes. I wiped at my tears and face her.

"Where is Dad?"

"He is trying to go see Scott and Ethan but the police won't let him."

"He wants to kill them right?"

"Yea." I smile to that and snuggle back in my mother's warmth.

March 12th

A little over a week has passed. My life has officially gone down hill. Tessa is in critical condition. She is in a coma and the doctors don't know if she is going to make it. I feel so guilty what happen to her. We should have never gone to that party.

"Avie!" My thoughts were cut short when my baby brother Colton came running in Tessa's room, in the hospital. I just got released yesterday. My whole face lit up when I turn around and saw him. He jumped in my arms and I gladly picked him up and sat him down in my lap. He looked up at me with his big bright green eyes and gave me a toothy grin.

"Hey my little angel. How did you get here? Did you fly?"

He giggled. "No, mommy and daddy took me here in the truck."

"Big Red?"

"Yes! I love Big Red!" He giggled and I smiled at that. I held him closer to me and kissed his forehead.
