chapter 18

Selena's POV

I knew deep down that Ava didn't believe me and wanted to still escape. She was scared what will happen to her here. But she needs to know that she is safer with me here. I won't hurt her if she doesn't try to escape again or doesn't listen to me. I'll try to keep my anger under control but if Slade keeps on pushing me to let it out I will explode and Ava is going to get hurt very badly.

I can't let that happen again. I need to talk to Bella and Sky because I know they will make me feel better. Slade can fuck off and deal with my boys, Jayce, Cade, and Alfie. I am not in the mood to deal with them.

"I'll be back." I told Ava after I fixed the lock. She will not be able to get through that door again. I left the room and went upstairs.

"Bella! Sky!" I yell for them. A moment passed when they walked out of their rooms and smiled at me.

"What’s up?" They both said in unison. They were twins that looked identical except for their hair. Bella had amber brown hair and Sky had hair like the blue sky during a sunny day. They were both naturally beautiful, that I lightly envy.

I had to work hard to create the look I have now. I am not naturally beautiful.

"I am in a foul mood." I whine to them. I wasn't shy around them with my emotions. They were my real family I can go to with my troubles.

"Aw baby, what got you in that kind of mood?" Bella said as she laced our fingers together and led us into my room with Sky right by my side rubbing my back.

"Worrying about hurting Ava again and stupid Slade." I lean against Bella and she wrapped her arms around my waist. I felt safe and warm with them like this. Sky sat down on my left side and spoon against me with our fingers laced together.

"Baby don't let Slade get to you. He is just a small minded asshole that needs to taste his own medicine." Sky told me and kissed my forehead.

"Yea he is. What about me hurting Ava again?"

"You are not going to hurt her again if you don't let Slade talk you into it." Bella said and also kissed my forehead.

"Okay." I snuggled into their warmth and rested my face in the nook of Bella's neck and closed my eyes. They always made me feel a lot better about myself after some girl time. I needed this after not talking to them in almost a month. Slade had kept me busy with killing people and having our special time together.

He was like a lover and an asshole that I wanted to punch whenever he got on my nerves. Our relationship was more like love/hate most of the time. He made me want him then he does something that makes me be disgusted with him.

Ugh I need to stop letting him get to me.

I block him from my mind and rested with my girls for almost an hour before I forget about Ava being here.

I pecked them on their lips and left my room to go find Ava.

But before I could even step down onto the stairs, a strong and rough hand latched onto my shoulder and pulled me into their chest. I let out a gasp and was about to scream when the hand covered my mouth from doing so.

"Selena babe we need to talk. Alone."

My eyes widen in shock and fear. It was Slade and he sounded pissed. I wiggled my body trying to escape his grip but it was no good. He was ten times stronger than me.

He dragged me into my bedroom we shared and threw me onto the bed. Bella and Sky must have left and went into their room. I hope they are not listening.
