My mother.. I see my mother standing, she's alive!

I run at my mother. "Mom!" I scream, happy to see her. But..
My mother turns around. Tears fill up my eyes.

"M-mom?"

Mom, did it hurt?

She's one of them...

My mother looks at me. No emotion. Soulless eyes, watching far beyond me. Half of her face is buried with wounds and infections. Her clothes are all covered in blood. "Mom!" I screamed, hoping to find a last bit of soul. But no, she would tear me apart. Not even feeling a bit sorry for killing her own daughter. "Mom," my voice cracks. I get filled with emotions but the good one can not be chosen for this moment. I feel hate, for leaving her behind. Sorry, for not helping her. Sadness, for the loss of my mom, while she's still breathing in front of me...

I had no time to even think or my mother runs roaring at me. I dodged, but I didn't want to dodge. I wanted her to take me, so I could at least be killed by my own blood, and not by a random stranger. But I also feel the urge to survive. Survive for them who have fallen. But who am I? I'm just a young girl, never hold a knife for anything more than cutting bread.

I approach my mother, who's staring at me with hatred and bloodlust. I heard Laura yelling my name "Kayleigh!" I'm so sorry Laura. I'm so sorry I'm leaving you behind... Just when my mother starts running at me again, Aiden jumps in between of us, holding a knife. There was no second pass or Aidens' knife pierced my mother's head. "No!" I screamed.
