"Kayleigh, kick the ball to me!" Laura's voice was soft but I could hear it loud and clear. I recognize her voice immediatly, because she is my best friend for almost 4 years now, and we do almost everything together.  I kicked the ball towards Laura, but missed with a meter, so the other team was able to take the ball and kick it into our goal. I hate soccer... The ball goes back to our team, right in front of the feet of Emma. Emma is nice, but we don't really talk a lot. Still we sit together in break. Just when she's about to kick the ball, a loud siren stops her from moving. It stops us all from moving. "What's happening?" I hear someone saying. "Is there fire?" I ask, knowing that no one knows the answer.

We all decide to walk to the other room, where the rest of our class is together with the teacher. Arrived there the teacher tries to calm us down by saying there's nothing wrong. "People are doing odd jobs and they have probably hit something, which caused the alarm to go off.." Feeling a little bit safer we go back to the room where we just were, but we're not playing soccer anymore. Everyone is sitting and talking about what possibly could be happening. "Maybe there really is a fire?" "Or maybe someone accidentally turned on the alarm?" "Maybe there's nothing wrong.." I close my eyes for only less than one second, but when I open them the light does not come back.

Everybody starts panic when they realize the lights are turned off by someone or something. There are no windows, so you really can't see a thing. I hear footsteps and stressed talking everywhere, and it's giving me a headache. I'm not used to hearing this much, because my right ear was damaged when I was just a young kid. But two weeks ago I had surgery on my right ear, so now I hear much more than normal. I can hear even more than a normal child of my age.

Suddenly I hear a loud scream, and a small light is visible at the doorway. I walk closer to the light, and see something with a human shape lying on the ground. It's one of my classmates, but something is wrong. When I walk closer I realize there's blood spread on the ground around the boy. He has several wounds, which seem to be very infected. Strange noise is audible from the other room. We decide to run to the other side of this room screaming in fair, away from the strange noise and the bloody body. Fortunately there's an emergency exit, which is easy to unlock...
